a little while after, when the girl finished getting ready for the funeral, she exited her room and was about to leave, when someone grabbed onto her arm and her eyes widened, when she turned around, she saw the demon, standing there, neatly dressed for the funeral.

she left staring at him and he released her hand then he smiled a little, before moving closer to her and his eyes narrowed as she looked at him.

"will you take me along?" he asked and she lowered her gaze then nodded and a smirk appeared on his face as he stepped back.

"fine, i may not be close to them like you, but the least i could do is pay respect to someone to deserved it," he said and she looked at him then smiled.

upon arriving before the castle, which was being fixed at a faster rate than before, they saw that many people were gathered there for the king's funeral, both nobles as well as normal citizens.

there were so many people that there was barely any space for big groups of people, for everyone wanted to be there for the king's departure.

nessa as well as the demon, went to the castle's main hall, where the family was and upon seeing the girl, mikala smiled brightly and nessa sighed before approaching her.

"how are you holding up?" nessa sked.

"i am doing fine and it's all thanks to you, things will not take long to come to a conclusion, it's going to be night in a little while as well," she responded and nessa sighed.

"it's best to finish it early, i know it's hard on you guys but it's what's needed," she said and mikala smiled then nodded.

mikala's eyes widened as the others looked at them, then nessa patted her on her back, knowing that the girl wanted to cry but was holding back and she hugged nessa tightly.

"it's okay, not because you cry means you are weak, it's good to have such emotions, mikala, don't be afraid," she said and the demon looked at her with his eyes narrowed.

'how can she be all of these things at once? how is she still like this, understanding to such emotions, despite all that's happened?' the demon wondered as he lowered his head.

"thank you, nessa for supporting me all along, i look forward to our future together," mikala said as she raised off of the girl, then wiped her eyes and nessa smiled at her.

"same here, i will always be here, don't worry so much, if you need help, just ask, also don't forget that i will be sending a few of them here soon, to help, to make things easier, i will come as well," she replied and mikala smiled at her.

"that's good, come and i didn't forget, just a little nervous, i will be crown queen soon, so basically this will be my first task, i will officially send you an invitation to the ball as well," she said and nessa patted her on her head.

"i will definitely be here, don't worry, but for now, i will head back home, it's already night, i will see you later, take care," nessa replied.

"take care, nessa," she said then nessa went to the demon and he looked at her.

"shall we?" she asked and he nodded then they left the same way, they came.

when she returned home, the demon left, without saying much to her other than he will see her later, but she just decided to leave it as that and since she was tired and wanted to relax a bit, for she had a lot on her mind.

the girl got changed into a long dress then went to the area where she was earlier, talking to the dragon and entered the cool water, closing her eyes as she laid back in the water with her body afloat, allowing the water to flow across her body as it fell, causing her to relax.
