They joined him at the dining table and he looked at the two of them and noticed Nessa still hadn't taken off her mask and that piqued his interest even more, wondering what it was that she was hiding under the mask and she glanced at him and her eyes narrowed as a smirk appeared on her face, as she realized he was getting more curious about the things around them.
The thought made her slightly amused since he was known to be a demon lord, who usually kept to himself under all circumstances, unlike a few of the other demon lords, who were quite nosy, as one may call it, prying into other's business, on the lookout for so-called threats to their status and power.
"Can you be accomplices with a threat or a friend to someone who may be considered a threat to those in power?" She asked him and he immediately stopped eating his breakfast and looked at her, as did the demon and he smirked as he clasped his hands together, looking at her intently as she met his gaze, head on.
"Now, that sure as hell is a good question to a demon lord darling... Do I? See I am not the type that fights for power above all nor do I really care... If there is such a person out there, it does not necessarily mean that they are evil," He responded.
"Which means you can be friends... Or even more with a threat," The demon said, as he looked directly into Nessa's eyes, for every word of what he just said was meant for her, a simple understanding he hoped got across to her.
She looked at him and her eyes narrowed then she scoffed before looking down a bit and the demon lord's eyes flickered between the two of them and his eyes narrowed, before he chuckled, finding the situation slightly amusing.
"Well, there you have it, both of our answers but tell me, Nessa what made you ask such a question in the first place? Simple curiousity or is it related to the situation we are all currently dealing with?" The demon lord asked and her brows furrowed then she looked at him.
Nessa's brows furrowed then she sighed, knowing that will be a lot harder, but if she played her cards right, she could use their own plans against them to get more information about their end game and the real leader, including the start of the organization.
"I think we know what needs to be done... If not all falls... The arrogant demon lords needs to put their heads together for this is the real threat... Powerful enough to topple all of their well organized systems, I think we know where we need to go next," The demon said as he looked at the two and Nessa glanced at him.
"He is right... On point actually, the demon lords don't exactly see eye to right, we are all quite different from the other, each with a different story that brought us to this point and this may be related to them as well, in more ways than one if you ask me, are you guys prepared to head off to your next destination?
I can get you there easily, without wasting days of travel," The demon lord said.
"Yeah, we are.. Thank you for your help..." Nessa said with a slight bow of her head as she stood up.
"Yes, thank you," The demon added and the demon lord chuckled.
"My pleasure, we all get something out of this, now your next destion is, Valnar, good luck and be careful the demon lord there has a screw loose upstairs," He said with a chuckle as Zavric handed them their bags and the demon lord's eyes glowed brightly and a large magic circle appeared under them and they both disappeared, heading to their next destination one which was going to be a ride for both of them.
