After our date, Diana and I had become more like friends. So here we were, trekking through a nameless forest, not far from the village where we’d had our date. I’d asked the others to stay behind. Bringing five people along would draw too much attention, so it was just the two of us this time. After all, we were only here to find the manual.

Raphne had grumbled, but since our engagement, she seemed to mind a little less when we were apart. Which is why Diana and I could walk through the woods in peace.
