Chapter 71 - 62 Lanci’s Decent Value System_1

"Student Bachel, you could just guide us to the corridor where the Demon King’s Restaurant is located. Then you can go attend your regular class. After the second class ends, come back to guide us. Whether it is a level 2 or level 3 classroom, I will help you get through," said Lanci.

Lanci looked at Bachel, his tone was steady, but his eyes brimmed with confidence.

Bachel obviously did not want to spend his precious Credit Coins. After all, for a student like him who was on the verge of being expelled, every extra Credit Coin was of great value.

"Okay, alright."

Bachel hurriedly bowed in thanks, clearly intimidated by Lanci.

Even when he had passed out in the music classroom earlier, Lanci, this Radiant Demon, did not steal his two Credit Coins.

What Bachel feared most was to become the target of powerful upper-class demons.

In this world, the weak often became prey.

However, being in contact with Lanci, who was a powerful demon, took Bachel by surprise. The Radiant Demon was terrifying, but there was a fair-mindedness in his high rationality that was unlike demons.

Demons possessing such attributes are often the highest-ranking and most terrifying.

However, as long as you do not provoke them, they often disdain tormenting weak demons.

Next.

Bachel completely re-entered his guide mode. With respectful certainty in his voice, he began to lead Lanci and Hyperion to their new destination.

About ten minutes later, their surroundings began to change from an inferno like teaching corridor to an elegant and leisurely indoor architectural environment.

Arriving at their destination, the air in the corridor was fresh. Compared to the dark classroom corridor, it seemed like a completely different world.

Here, the breath of the dark abyss was not as strong but was replaced by a sense of pure tranquility.

"This is where you wanted to go. I will come to find you after the next class," Bachel stood at the corridor’s entrance and bowed humbly to Lanci.

His voice carried a hint of relief as if he had completed a herculean task.

"Alright, take care."

Lanci replied, waving his hand as he watched the figure of Bachel disappear around the corridor’s corner.

Then he and Hyperion walked through the corridor bathed in a soft sunset, and soon they saw the Demon King’s Restaurant, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

This name, it promised them an experience of noble indulgence.

[Challengers Lanci & Hyperion at the S02 Corridor, Demon King’s Restaurant]

Once they passed through the automatic revolving glass door, they could see that the interior decoration of the restaurant followed an aesthetic, rebellious black style — for example, the branches and stones on the table turned out to be part of the tableware upon closer look.

A large floor-to-ceiling window made the suspended view of the entire Purgatory Corridor Academy the background of the restaurant. Only when they arrived here did they finally realize that the school was a corridor castle built above Hell’s territory.

When night fell, the stars seemed to be reflected on the dining tables, giving an absurd yet dreamy feeling.

"Guests, please first take a look at this."

The Demon Waiter led them to their seats while handing them a carefully crafted black leather guide.

The cover of the guide had a unique diamond pattern and a faint smell of leather, giving a sense of antique charm.

Lanci shifted his gaze to the writing on the cover.

Several lines of delicate text were arranged there, stating the Demon King’s Restaurant regulations.

[Dress appropriately in the restaurant]

[No fighting, no causing trouble]

[No Pets, Summons, or Servitors Allowed]

[No Dine-and-Dash]

[Do Not Insult Other Customers]

A particularly striking demon happened to be sitting at a luxurious long table.

His silver-white hair seemed sprinkled with a cluster of dense stars and exuded an elegance and chill like that of a noble.

However.

In that nearly negligible moment of a fleeting glance, one could feel the pickiness and discontent emanating from his eyes.

The waiters scurried about around him like overburdened ants, sweetly putting up with his overbearing nature.

Yet, that silver-haired demon would merely lower his head, casually pick up a fork or spoon, taste a bite or two, then frown and push the plate in front of him to the side, showing extreme dissatisfaction.

The food would then be whisked away by the waiters and dumped right into the garbage bin.

He had hardly enjoyed those discarded dishes at all, instead making the busy waitstaff contrast starkly with his overly-discriminating tastes.

All the demons looked for instructions in the Silver Hair Demon’s gaze and gestures, bustling about like spinning hamsters, extremely busy.

Even the restaurant manager had no choice but to come over to his dining table, accepting his sharp criticism and charges.

Lanci silently observed his dining behavior, appearing somewhat upset.

This straightforward gaze soon drew the Silver Hair Demon’s attention.

The Silver Hair Demon turned his head, locking eyes with Lanci for a moment, as icy sharp as icicles.

Immediately, a hint of displeasure appeared in the Silver Hair Demon’s eyes, seemingly discontent with Lanci’s staring.

The corners of his mouth downturned slightly, forming a frigid arc, accompanied by a derisive sneer.

The Silver Hair Demon glanced at Lanci and Hyperion, as though surveying two cheap commodities, his expression was full of disdain.

Then, he beckoned the restaurant manager next to him towards him.

Then, he blandly said:

"Whatever high-quality ingredients you have today, I’ll take them all."

The domineering aura in his words was unignorable, akin to his noble demeanor.

Clearly, he wanted to demonstrate the absolute gap between Lanci and Hyperion in front of them and also snatch away their opportunity to enjoy such delicacies.

It appeared that Lanci’s glance from before had determined him not to allow Lanci and Hyperion, those two impolite demons, to enjoy a meal of the same grade as him today.

However, Lanci still looked at the Silver Hair Demon’s long table with a slightly frowning brow, without saying a word.

"Lanci, let it go."

Hyperion’s tone was gentle, seeming to want to resolve Lanci’s trouble.

She was quite certain that the silver-haired student who had an excessive amount of credit coins was absolutely not one to mess with.

There was hardly any room for action in such a functional area either.

Following Lanci’s best strategies of employing sarcasm in addition to the Great Love Poet tactics or banning speech and controlling dialogue tactics, none of them were feasible in the Demon King’s restaurant which forbade summoning.

Silence enveloped the space between the faraway dining tables of the Silver Hair Demon and Lanci, Lanci seemed to have noted Hyperion’s persuasion, his gaze shifted from the Silver Hair Demon’s dining table, instead focusing on Hyperion’s face.

"Saving grain and eliminating wastage requires everyone’s mutual efforts."

Lanci finally spoke,

"We should consciously promote the fine virtue of thrift and frugality, uphold the notion that saving is glorious and wasting is disgraceful, intensify our PR regarding economical and anti-wasteful ideals, striving to establish a good social practice of civilized dining and rational consumption."

Lanci earnestly explained his values to Hyperion.

Hyperion: "..."

She always felt.

Though there was nothing wrong with Lanci’s thoughts,

But when they came from his mouth, it inexplicably tasted a little like black humour.

Because this person’s understanding of virtues and the like was somewhat unique!
