Chapter 962 - 730: Lanci’s Brilliant Plan for Peace_2
"Don’t take pity on me just for these things, okay."
Talia crossed her arms over her chest, uncomfortably averting her gaze.
Lanci always made sure she was well-fed, which was both sweet and infuriating. If he were just a little bit nicer to her or a tad more unbearable, she wouldn’t feel so awkward.
"I’m going to make dinner now."
With those words, Talia planned to leave the study to cook with Cat Boss on the first floor.
"Wait, Tata, let’s go over the Communication Magic Cards from Landry first."
Lanci called out to Talia.
She hesitantly stopped in her tracks.
"Are you planning to contact that organization?"
Talia returned to his side, sitting in another chair at the desk.
"Miss Unity from the Allied Forces said she would do her best to help me search, but she didn’t promise anything. I’m not familiar with the capital of South Crayney. The only chance I have to find someone from the Nixasende region in the northwestern border is to hope for that organization or the contact left by Nigel from the Poseen Kingdom."
Lanci took out a stack of Magic Cards as he answered.
In his hand were Landry’s belongings— to play the role of Landry flawlessly without any slipups, he now carried Landry’s own Magic Cards every day.
Among the luminous Magic Cards, the most conspicuous was the pink, translucent card— the Sacred Communication Magic ["Ultra Long-Distance Communication Program-7"] which even he and Talia had never seen before.
"Are you sure it’s safe to find this organization?"
Talia looked at the Magic Card by her side, still feeling that the Pink Holy quality Communication Magic was too extravagant, the organization must be exceptional.
"I won’t search in the group chat; I’ll just ask Number One to help me."
Lanci remembered Number Two saying that everyone in the organization would try to help each other out as much as they could.
Lanci also tapped his forehead.
This Mercy, Number 3, must be an early member and a veteran of the organization.
In Landry’s mysterious Communication Magic Card, the contact list didn’t use real names, only nicknames.
Landry’s nickname was "Justice," by default tagged as Number 7. The Communication Magic Card also allowed for annotating contacts, but Landry had never modified any notes for any contacts.
The person who had just spoken, their Communication Card should end with -3, and from the looks of it, they were still serving other powers, with bosses of their own, a behavior that was tacitly condoned by Number One.
The flexibility of the organization was greater than Lanci had anticipated.
"Do you want to sell this information? After all, you’ve already given a copy to the Allied Forces. The more smokescreens, the better for you."
Talia asked Lanci.
"I’ll think about it. After all, sending it out would make it easier for others in the organization to associate me, Number 7, with the Saint Kray Monastery."
Lanci mused.
Right now, he didn’t want the Mysterious Organization to find out too much about him.
Apart from Number One and Number Two, who couldn’t privately chat, if someone could provide information, they could only post it in the group without revealing their offline identity for everyone to see.
Since he was a fake Landry, before he could figure out the organization’s patterns, the more he spoke, the more mistakes he’d make. Thus, even if he wanted to join the organization’s conversations, he decided it was better to wait.
The Magic Card lit up once more with a translucent pink glow.
[Hope (Number 9): I’m also very interested, although it doesn’t really serve any practical use for me.]
Someone immediately responded.
[Mercy (Number 3): Not even you have it?]
[Hope (Number 9): Please, if I dared to inquire and then trade this information, the Empire’s Special Operations Department might be knocking on my door within two hours.]
"Is Number 9 an information broker?"
