Chapter 181: A Battle Of ’Akun’ Proportions
Chapter 181: A Battle Of ’Akun’ Proportions
Akun frowned in thought as he tried to make sense of things. "Didn’t your system mention that if we combined our souls, nothing would happen to either of us?"
Alternate Akun responded with a serious tone, "It did, but what would be the point? That offer is basically like dying. After all, there is no way to actually tell who will be in charge of our body once we combine. So, that’s a no for me." The air felt heavy with uncertainty, highlighting the complexity of their shared problem.
Akun’s expression became grave as he inquired, "So, what are you proposing?" His purple eyes gleamed brightly as he locked eyes with his alternate self.
Alternate Akun responded with a serious tone, "Exactly as it sounds. If I don’t eliminate you, you’ll eliminate me. I don’t think either of us wants that."
Akun pressed on with a serious tone, "So, you want to end me... is that what you’re saying?"
Alternate Akun responded, "What else could I have meant?"
Silence stretched between them for the next few seconds, the wind whispering as they exchanged intense stares.
In an instant, both Akuns materialized a colossal silver railgun into the air, their voices synchronizing in a powerful command, "Fire, Silver Railgun!"
The immense railguns roared to life simultaneously. Time itself seemed to decelerate as both Akuns swiftly drew their †Void Sword Onon†, effortlessly cleaving the approaching bullets in half. The colossal split railgun projectiles surged past them, colliding with the ground below, and a vast dust cloud erupted into the air.
Akun responded, "No, we’re not. While you’re still in the dragon grade’s 9th stage, I’ve already entered the heavenly grade. This means my abilities are no longer restricted by the barrier, making me at least three times stronger than you."
In an instant, Akun forcefully pushed back alternate timeline Akun. Seizing the moment, Akun swiftly followed up with supersonic speed, delivering a powerful kick to his abdomen—a forceful impact reminiscent of kicking down a sturdy door.
Alternate Akun soared backward with immense force, skimming just above the ground. His form made continous contact, bouncing off the surface in a sequence that resembled a skipping pebble across a lake until he ultimately crashed with a huge impact.
Alternate Akun coughed up blood, muttering, "He wasn’t kidding, he’s way stronger than me." Inwardly, he mused, "I can’t fight that close with him. My whole body will just be a target whenever he counters me."
Seeing Akun charging straight at him, Alternate Akun thought quickly. He utilized his aspect power to propel himself into the air, contemplating, "I have to find a way to fight him in close range without getting myself hurt."
Immidatly Akun propelled himself into the air with his aspect power, closing the distance to Alternate Akun.
As Akun charged toward him, Alternate Akun pondered urgently, "I need to think of something fast." Suddenly, an idea struck him. "That’s it, silver transformation, but I need to create a very gigantic body, making my main one serve as a core of some sorts." A smile formed on his face as he muttered, "And which other colossal monster to change into other than a dragon!"
Suddenly, massive chunks of dark silver extended from alternate Akun’s body, leaving Akun hovering in mid-air, wondering, "What the hell is he up to?" Curiosity held Akun in place as he watched his opponent create something that promised to be a formidable challenge.
As the chunks of dark silver condensed and took shape, a gigantic black dragon emerged, its purple eyes shining brightly. Inwardly, alternate Akun mused, "For the breath, I’ll put a massive railgun in its mouth." A colossal railgun materialized within the dragon’s maw, purple light gleaming beneath its massive teeth.
Reconsidering his strategy, alternate Akun thought, "Now that I think about this again, this isn’t really close quarters—more like the greatest AOE battle form I could take. But even for future me, this should be a huge challenge."
