Chapter 189: Let’s Try Fusing

In response, alternate Akun mumbled, "If you’re here, it means you’ve somehow been watching me. So I’m sure you know my name by now."

The woman maintained her smile, placing her right hand on alternate Akun’s chin and tilting his gaze towards her. "True, but I would love it if you told me yourself. Won’t you?" Despite sounding like a request, alternate Akun felt an unspoken pressure to comply, sensing that not responding might lead to consequences beyond his imagination.

Alternate Akun mumbled with uncertainty and fear in his gaze, "My name is Akun, leader of the ant tribe."@@@@

The woman, smiled and blushed as she responded, "Danlatica, I am the goddess of destruction." The weight of her title hung in the air, mingling with the unsettling aura that surrounded her.

Danlatica leaned in, placing her forehead against Akun’s, and whispered, "Why don’t you become mine, Akun? I’ll free you from the clutches of fate." Her voice, both tempting and eerie, lingered in the air, and Akun felt the weight of a choice that seemed to transcend the boundaries of time and destiny.

Alternate Akun, uncertain and intrigued, questioned Danlatica, "What exactly do you mean? Could you elaborate?"

Danlatica smiled, leaning in with a hint of blush on her cheeks, "Partners for the rest of our lives, like couples." Her smile, both enticing and mysterious, left Alternate Akun puzzled.

Increasingly confused, he stammered, "Um, why me? Aren’t there other gods you could ask?"

Danlatica’s demeanor shifted slightly serious as she explained, "No, all those idiots wouldn’t understand me, and they are all boring. But you are a different story. Since the eons of my existence, this is the first time I’ve felt like this about someone else. So, what is your answer?"

Alternate Akun then mumbled, "So it’s the first one. You do want to end me personally."

Akun responded, "This is no time for jokes. If we don’t do anything, you will be erased from existence."

Alternate Akun mumbled sarcastically, "Oh? And I wonder whose fault that is? Oh, that’s right, it’s you – the very same guy who is trying to act kind now when I’m already being erased. If you are so nice, why didn’t you sacrifice yourself earlier when I told you to?"

Akun replied slowly, the weight of his realization evident in his tone, "Look, I’m sorry, okay? I wasn’t thinking things through. I have no right to force this on you. But, if you don’t accept my offer, you’ll be erased forever. Do you really want to leave your people behind and be unable to protect them?"

Alternate Akun’s eyes widened at Akun’s response. Akun continued, "Besides, this is your only choice. If you look closely, I’m already in good shape – no fading or cracks. Meaning, you’re the one chosen to be erased."

Alternate Akun looked skeptical for a moment, then finally sighed, mumbling, "Okay, but if it’s way worse than what I’m already going through, I’ll instantly fight back." The tension hung in the air as the two versions of Akun faced the pivotal decision before them.

Alternate Akun mumbled, "So, how exactly will we start it?" Akun then replied, "We’ll first have to cut our souls in half."

Intrigued, Alternate Akun asked, "how exactly do you plan to do that?"

Akun responded, "With our †Authority†. Because I’m no longer in danger of erasure, I can use it without consequences." The weight of the impending fusion hung in the air, the two versions of Akun preparing to embark on a journey that held the fate of both their existences.

With a sudden intensity, Akun’s right hand became coated with his †Authority† as he mumbled, "You’re going to have to bear with me. This will hurt a whole lot more." He then swiftly dug his hand into Alternate Akun’s chest, gripping his core. The air crackled with a strange energy as the process of soul separation began.
