Evolution begins with an ant colony

Chapter 201: Problematic Goddess

Chapter 201: Problematic Goddess

Hovering in the night sky, the full moon cast a silvery glow over Akun’s silver hair, making it dazzle in the moonlight. He gazed at the ant city from a far distance, watching his people retire to their homes for the night. It was a truly heartwarming scene, and a smile graced Akun’s lips. He then muttered, "Now that everything is in place, system, it’s time to merge the timelines."

The system’s voice echoed in his head, [Notice, player!!]

[If you want to merge the timelines, you must use the Book of Existence and All Knowledge, as there are parts of each timeline the player doesn’t exactly want to combine.] Discover hidden stories at novelhall.Côm

Akun curiously asked, "Like what exactly?"

The system responded, adding, [Like the destruction of the terrain of both the anthill and the dryad tribe or the fact that they are all dead. The player has cut off such unnecessary pieces of information before you could successfully merge the timelines.]

Akun then shrugged as he said, "It’s just to cut the events off. I’m sure it won’t be that hard. As a great author once said, it has always been easier to destroy than to create."

The system then replied, "[Contrary to the player’s belief, it will be far more difficult than the act of even combining the timelines. If the player messes things up, the Book of Existence will designate the player as a threat and will instantly erase him, leaving things as they are. So, the player should take this more seriously.]"

Akun’s mood suddenly became serious as he contemplated the system’s words; a bead of sweat formed on his forehead.

He then let out a sigh and said, "Just my luck. I hope some other bizarre stuff doesn’t happen. I don’t think I can take on another alter me; I’m already worn out. Okay, how do we start?"

Akun mumbled, "So you’re useless." His words had a massive impact on Chrono Nexus’ emotional state; she was shocked as she mumbled with a sad tone, "No, I’m not useless, Master. Please, let me help you."

Akun, curious, then asked, "How?" Chrono Nexus got down on all fours and said, "By being your chair, of course." She winked her left eye.

Akun mumbled with a disappointed, "I should have known. Hard pass."

Chrono Nexus was taken aback, her cosmic eyes widened with disbelief as Akun’s stern words resonated in the ethereal library. Unfazed by her shock, Akun pivoted on his heel, striding purposefully toward the towering Book of Existence, its golden pages brimming with the tapestry of timelines.

Seizing the opportune moment, Chrono Nexus, driven by an inexplicable desperation, extended her ethereal form to grasp Akun’s left leg. Her voice, tinged with pleading, echoed in the vast space, "Please, Master, sit on me, please!"

Akun, his pace unyielding, continued to drag her along with his feet, a mixture of irritation and bewilderment etched across his features. His voice boomed in the celestial library, "What the hell is wrong with you? Don’t you have any pride as a goddess? Let go of my leg!"

Undeterred, Chrono Nexus, with feigned tears shimmering in her cosmic gaze, responded, "I won’t let go until Master sits on me again."

As Akun’s tone shifted into stern warning, Chrono Nexus found herself caught in the turbulence of his sudden change, prompting her to release his leg. She crouched down in a corner, a complex mosaic of emotions playing across her divine visage.

Akun, still grappling with the unexpected display, voiced his exasperation, "Oh, come on! You’re a grown woman; what’s up with that attitude?" The celestial library bore witness to this peculiar encounter, its golden hues reflecting the enigmatic attitude of a problematic Godess.
