Chapter 314 Beyond The Boundary; The Outside World
It had been a long night, but now the festival was finally over, and the sun had risen. Akun was ready to set out to the outside world, but before he could finally set off on his epic adventure, there were some things he had to take care of.
Akun stood in front of the castle gates, atop what seemed to be some sort of podium, his silver hair glinting under the sunlight. The wind swayed his robes from side to side, his gaze calm and commanding. By his sides were the tribe leaders, the guardians, and his trusted second-in-command.
Around the streets of the city were the evolved ants, Kingins, and representatives of all the other races. They all stood, gazing at their liege as they awaited his words. Using wind magic he had created a spell they would allow his voice to be heard all around the forest as he gave an important announcement.
"I will be stepping out of Akundia today, to venture beyond. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time now but haven't been able to because of certain circumstances," Akun announced. Mumbles of confusion and disbelief rippled through the crowd. He then added, "But before I do, I want to make sure the nation I have established won't be thrown into chaos due to my absence."
The entire area fell silent as they all collectively wondered how exactly their liege planned on doing that. Akun continued, "And to that end, I will be putting all the other races who were previously not under my enslavement to be enslaved now." He narrowed his gaze and spoke with a slightly more intimidating tone as he added, "Are there any objections?"
No one dared to speak up.
Akun then said, "Good, I will now proceed." Inwardly, Akun mused, "By enhancing my skill with both my dragon aura and my cosmic power, I should be able to drastically increase the reach of my taming skill."
In that instant, Akun raised his hand skyward, his voice seeming to echo through the very fabric of reality as he said, "Activate taming."
In that instant, purple chains sprang out from his hand, soaring skyward. They streaked through the skies as if they were messenger birds heading for a certain known destination. As they loomed over the other frowns that had not previously been enslaved by Akun, they descended, wrapping themselves around the necks of their targets.
Women, children, elderly - no one was overlooked. Though the process was not painful, the moment the chain wrapped itself around the neck, the enslavement was completed, and they would immediately disappear.
As the chains vanished, a sudden silence overcame the crowd. Some looked nervously at each other, while others averted their gazes, unable to meet Akun's eyes. The weight of his decision seemed to hang heavy in the air.
As Akun prepared to take to the skies with his aspect power, a voice pierced through the air, halting him in his tracks. "Dear, you don't plan on leaving your wives at home while you travel the world, right?"
Akun's movements faltered, his brow furrowing in confusion at the unexpected question. "Wives?" he echoed, turning around to locate the source of the voice. There stood Genreia, her body draped in plain clothing, her expression gave off a sense of seriousness as she approached Akun. It was as if she had been planning to follow him all along.
By Genreia's side stood Hestria and Tatilia, their expressions a mix of eagerness and loyalty. Tatilia stepped forward, her voice filled with confidence as she spoke to Akun. "Don't worry about my wings, master," she assured him. "I have a magic spell that can make them disappear. I believe the outside world is mostly populated by humans, so I'll be sure to blend in."
Hestria, standing beside Tatilia, blushed slightly as she spoke up. "As your sword," she said, her tone earnest, "I have a responsibility to stand by your side, wherever your journey may take you."
The orc queen Gruka observed the scene with amusement, her booming laughter filling the air. She stepped forward, tapping Akun on the shoulder with a hearty chuckle. "I see you have quite the lineup here," she remarked, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"As expected of our liege." Her tone turned slightly more serious as she continued, "I hope you don't mind if my daughter joins in." Gruka's expression then lit up with excitement. "My only request is," she added eagerly, "bring me grandkids when you come to visit."
Azara stood a couple of feet away, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she overheard her mother's remarks. With a mixture of surprise and shyness, she called out to Gruka, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "Mother, what are you saying?"
Gruka, ever the bold and outspoken orc queen, chuckled heartily at her daughter's reaction. "Stop being shy, Azara," she retorted, her voice booming with affection. "You're not getting any younger. Do you want to look like some old hag and regret not taking your chance?"
Azara fell silent as she struggled to find a response, her cheeks still burning with embarrassment. The sudden turn of events left her speechless, unsure of how to react to her mother's bold encouragement.
