Chapter 87 The Gods Game: Vino Valona's betrayal

Akun's mind raced as he considered the situation. "I can't believe this is the reason these two contacted me using the telepathy skill I gave them," he mused inwardly. The message that had caused his sudden departure from the ant city had been sent by Mellin and Kalardix, who had urgently requested him to come to the forest's edge for an important discussion.

Upon arriving at their location, Akun had wasted no time in admonishing the bickering siblings. His stern tone silenced Mellin and Kalardix, both of whom looked somewhat apprehensive.

Addressing Kalardix, Akun began, "What you did was indeed not right, a real leader doesn't let finical loses sway his emotions and control his actions." He placed a hand on Kalardix's shoulder, who wore a disappointed expression upon hearing Akun's judgment.

Mellin, sensing that Akun was about to correct Kalardix, couldn't hide a smug grin. However, Akun was quick to address her too, warning, "Don't you dare act smug."

Akun, with a calm demeanor, addressed Mellin and Kalardix, his voice filled with warmth. "You guys should learn to get along. That would make me really happy. Can you do that?"

Kalardix playfully corrected her, saying, "Nah, Mellin. The rest of us were all there to support you."

Their playful chat continued as Mellin responded, "Yeah, you guys were there, but I did all the work." She blushed slightly, feeling embarrassed that Kalardix had revealed this fact to Akun.

Akun's cold gaze remained fixed on them for a moment longer before he turned around, his footsteps echoing as he began to leave. "You guys should go back now," he stated, his tone unwavering. "Only contact me if you have something important to show me or if you need my help. Next time, messages like these should be communicated via telepathy."

Fear gripped everyone present as they stuttered in agreement, their voices trembling. "R-right."

Akun ascended into the air, his Aspect Power propelling him skyward. As he departed, a collective sigh of relief seemed to escape the mouths of all those present, as if they were grateful to have survived a potentially disastrous encounter.

Regaining his composure quickly, Kalardix took charge. "Alright, guys," he announced, a newfound confidence in his voice. "You heard what Father said. We're back to adventuring now." With that, he led the way, guiding his party out of the forest and back to their adventurous pursuits.

Catching up to Kalardix, Mellin spoke in a hushed tone, "Master seemed a bit weird just now, didn't he? It kind of made me scared."

Kalardix, keeping his gaze fixed on the path ahead, replied thoughtfully, "Father has a lot on his mind. It's quite normal for him to feel burdened and get angry sometimes. All we can do to support him is to simply do what he has asked of us." His words carried a sense of depth and understanding, emphasizing their commitment to their father's cause.

Mellin nodded in agreement with Kalardix's sentiments. "You're right, Kalardix. All I hope and want to be able to do is not disappoint him and make him proud," she replied, sharing in their common desire to fulfill their creator's expectations and earn his pride.
