"It's like walking into a trap," Shadow muttered, her sniper rifle at the ready. "Anything could be waiting for us below."

"No doubt," Ghost added, his voice calm but tense. He crouched low, scanning for traps or signs of ambush. "The walls feel... off. Like they're closing in."

With a final, desperate strike, Rook plunged his blade into the Keeper's chest, shattering the runes. The creature let out an otherworldly scream before dissolving into mist.

The chamber fell silent, the monolith's glow fading. Rook turned to the team, his expression resolute. "This was only the beginning. Whatever lies ahead, we face it together."

Without another word, the team continued their descent, the spiral staircase beckoning them ever deeper into the unknown.
