Chapter 390 On TV

Chapter 390 On TV

A boy dressed in an orange T-shirt was sitting in front of his computer, deeply focused as he played League of Legends, continuously clicking his mouse.

During the recent laning phase, he had been controlling Hand of Noxus and had already whittled down the opposing Crocodile's health quite a bit.

Now as a large wave of minions pushed toward the enemy tower, it was time to seize the opportunity and kill the Crocodile before it reached level 6!

First, he got up close to feign an attack, which baited out the Crocodile's stun ability. Then, he ignited the enemy, tapping away at the keyboard, following an auto-attack with a W and an outer ring slash! Trying to flee? Hand of Noxus E skill pulled him back! Another auto-attack followed by a Noxian Guillotine!

Seeing the kill within his grasp, the boy's face broke into a pleased grin, and he bared his white teeth as he laughed, "Hey, weak! Please, you're so weak! Now do you know who's the boss huh?"

His mother, wearing an apron, walked out of the kitchen, passing by Awei's room, and called out, "Awei, dinner's almost ready, come and eat! You're gaming all day long, aren't your eyes tired? Take a break."

Awei was the boy's nickname; his full name was Liu Wei! He was a freshman in college.

College vacations usually start earlier than those of middle and elementary schools, with some schools beginning their break as early as January, providing nearly two months of holiday.

With barely any homework during the college break, Liu Wei spent his days at home playing League of Legends.

After killing the Crocodile, he could have left triumphantly, but his own minion blocked his Hand of Noxus, resulting in him taking a couple more hits from the tower.

Seeing his screen turn grey, Liu Wei grumbled, "Damn it, I died, all because of you!"

His mother felt wronged and said, "I only spoke to you briefly, and you're calling me annoying!"

Liu Wei hurriedly explained, "No, not you, I was talking about the minion! That minion blocked me, wait, the game can't be paused, I'll be there as soon as this round is over!"

"Alright, but don't take too long!"

If her son had played video games like this before college, Liu's mom would have certainly disapproved.

But now that her child had been admitted to his desired university and had come of age, there was no need to be so strict; nagging him would only create unhappiness.

He had a significant lead in the game, and at the 15-minute mark, the opposing team surrendered.

After a while, Liu Wei arrived at the dining table, slurping his noodles.

He saw that the TV was tuned to the provincial station, and reached for the remote to change the channel.

Liu's mother quickly protested, "Hey, wait, don't change it."

Liu Wei wondered, "What's so interesting about the news?"

Liu's mom laughed, "Hey, your school chose a nice place, didn't it? You can go see the giant pandas when you have some free time. How about I go with you next semester to help with your luggage, it might be too much to handle alone."

Liu Wei couldn't help but retort, "Mom, are you planning to send me off, or do you just want to see the pandas?"

As he was playfully complaining, the TV broadcast switched to a young and handsome man.

In the bottom left corner, it read: Linhai Wildlife Park Director Fang Ye

He smiled at the camera, "To ensure that the pandas are happy and comfortable here, we've made a lot of preparations..."

Liu Wei's eyes widened, "Damn! That director is so young!"

Liu's mom was also taken aback, "He looks like he's in his twenties, doesn't he? So young to be a park director, that's impressive."

After the news ended, Liu Wei snapped back to reality and quickly finished his meal.

He washed a dish, did a search, and found the article that Linhai Zoo's official account posted today, sharing it to his class group chat.

"What's this?"

"Awei, are you free now? Come play together!"

Liu Wei said, "Isn't our new campus in Linhai? I saw a news clip while eating earlier, talking about the pandas at Linhai Wildlife Park being on exhibit today. Their panda exhibit is so beautiful! And the director looks really young."

"Really?"

"Maybe the director just has a baby face!"

Someone clicked on the link to take a look, "Wow, such cute pandas!"

One classmate exclaimed in surprise, "Damn, I just checked the map, and our school is really close to this zoo!"

"Then moving there isn't that bad; we can just go to the zoo and see pandas whenever we have some free time!"

"Awesome! Let's go see the pandas!"

"Long live the school! This location choice is amazing."

"Who cares about not having a girlfriend when we have pandas to see!"

The classmates instantly cheered and were excited, their attitude towards moving took a 180-degree turn, and they began to look forward to life at the new campus with great anticipation.
