Chapter 16: Buying Spree, Arranging A 'Date'

In the bustling City of Riversea, a tall, hooded figure blended in with the crowds of people, making his way to a small herb shop called 'Herbs and Stuff.'

This was where Lucifer planned to buy the materials he needed. As for the Furnaces, well, let's just say that he had a 'helpful' little maid to take care of that...

TAP TAP TAP

Lucifer took long strides toward the modestly adorned wooden doors of the store. However, before he could enter it, a nuisance decided to get in his way.

"Ahhh~ Is that the shrimp dick 6th Young Master I see over there!?"

Resounding over the bustling streets, a voice more annoying than the grating of a chalkboard sounded out. Not long after, a 5'11" man approached him with a pompous swagger.

He wore oversized purple robes with gold trim as well as an emblem at his chest, depicting some form of four-armed animal.

'Young Master Dipshit...'

A chilling coldness practically burst out of Lucifer's eyes as he looked at the showy figure with utter disdain.

"Hey, buddy! No need to look at me like that!" The disgusting man walked over to him, quickly clasping onto his shoulders with force nearing the peak of the Body Refinement Realm.

He was clearly trying to break Lucifer's shoulder blades under the watchful eyes of all the nosy bystanders. But contrary to his expectations, Lucifer simply brushed off the sweaty hand and unleashed a deeply rooted killing intent!

He did his utmost to maintain appearances, acting as if nothing had happened. But on the inside, his mind was in complete chaos.

'I swear I will kill that fucking trash! I don't care if I have to beg my mother to kill him for me!!!'

For a 22-year-old man in the 100% Tempering Marrow Realm, his first response to his predicament was to run crying to his mother...

As the son of the immensely powerful Mistress of the Veil, he was one hell of a disappointment. Even so, it didn't seem like he cared one bit about continuing the next generation of kill-or-be-killed assassins.

Meanwhile, inside the 'Herbs and Stuff' shop, Lucifer examined the herbs on display. He already had a good idea of what he wanted to buy, so after he finished verifying the quality, he asked the associate to bring out materials worth over 4000 Fire Coins.

Normally, he wouldn't have been able to afford such a sizable sum, but with what little money they had in the family treasury, he 'borrowed' enough to purchase the materials. After which, he made his way outside of the shop.

His Storage Rings were now filled with Precious Herbs, which according to him should be enough to last his clones for a total of 2 months while also giving him plenty of time to get even stronger than he currently was.

However, before Lucifer could distribute the herbs to the relevant parties, he first needed the Alchemy Furnaces. And to get the furnaces, he had to meet up with the beautiful Lu Lu—a maid who was quite useful when it came to procuring things he wanted.

So, like the romantic man he was, Lucifer sent a little birdy to set up a date with the maid.

With the message and the mood set, he arranged a candlelit dinner on his balcony, providing the perfect view of the tranquil stream outside his side of the mansion.

Everything was set in place, and the only thing missing to make the event truly come together was the lamb herself...
