Chapter 41: Killing The Fat Lord

After more than two hours of playing "Pin the Donkey," there was not a single spot left on the piggy's butt left that hadn't been skewered by darts. The result? This left his body as one big mess. As for his life...

Well, it was safe to say that the Head Lord was dead—

"Mhmm!!!"

A muffled scream emerged from the dirt as the spiked pig sprang to life!

"The vitality of someone in the Middle Foundation Establishment Realm truly is a thing to behold..." Lucifer remarked as he threw the last of the few darts, listening to one last scream of agony before approaching the Head Lord.

When he reached the squirming, ostrich-looking figure, he pulled him out of the ground.

Or, at least, that was what was supposed to happen...

*Rip!*

"Hmm...? What was that-"

Lucifer looked down from his view of the lard can's rump, only to see that the Head Lord's head was ripped clean off his body. Apparently, this had happened because he pulled a little too hard, given that the man's head was firmly wedged in the ground.

"Well, that was an oopsies..." Lucifer lightly chuckled, brushing off the accidental decapitation of the Head Lord as he threw the couch-like corpse aside.

Following this utterly disrespectful and uncaring act, the Loot Goblin began rummaging through the fatso's possessions.

From this rightfully warranted search and loot session, Lucifer was able to acquire a number of goodies. First and foremost, he retrieved everything that the greedy pig had stolen from him.

And then there were all the other valuable things that the Head Lord had amassed over the years...

"I must say... This Head Lord was quite the Hoarder. Not as good as me, but meh... he was up there."

His egotistical words were followed up by the absorption of the Head Lord's essence. Thereafter, a series of system notifications chimed in (completely unrelated to the Fat Lord's assimilation).

Another voice retorted, unleashing a technique of his own—the Devil Crusher Strike.

This man was Chao Gang, one of the Elders of the Devilduke Family. He was also the one who was generally responsible for taking care of all miscreants who may or may not have dared to get into the family's territory.

Although neither Su Tao nor Chao Gang were the strongest from their respective sides since they were just in the Peak Core Formation Realm, they were still leading figures in the realms of their expertise.

"Truly a joke, Chao Gang! To speak those words after sleeping with my wife behind my back! Do you have no shame left, you scoundrel!?"

"Me!? The scoundrel!? Who was the one who lusted after my eldest daughter and thought that she was to his liking!? Because, bitch, it sure as hell wasn't me!!" Chao Gang snarled back.

He then swirled his body in a circular motion, using everything he had in order to channel his Qi into the Devil Crusher Strike!

RUMBLE!

Even the ground thousands of meters below his location in the sky started to violently shake!

The animals below them panicked and started to run away in whichever direction they could flee in, trying their utmost to find a safe haven. But unfortunately for them, a number of Lucifer's clones were on the hunt, and wouldn't allow a single beast to escape their net of loot.

One clone in particular just so happened to be observing the clash between Su Tao and elder Chao Gang.

"..."

Though a plethora of thoughts swirled inside his mind while he watched them fight, no matter which thought it was, all of them led to the same conclusion...

"I think it's about time to take advantage of this opportunity...but to do that, I will first need to have these two morons weaken each other's health bars down by a bit..." the clone mused.

Lucifer had already multi-split his consciousness between the main body, which was cultivating, and several clones like this one. This allowed him to better coordinate their actions more effectively.

Most of the clones were simply doing their usual task—mass genocide—but this one, along with a few others, had their eyes set on reaping the largest of loot bags. And they wouldn't settle until everything was theirs!
