The heroes who showed up through the teleporter looked defeated. I got up and greeted them as I waited for Batman to show up and finish my tour or take me to the meeting where the head members would decide if I could join. As he came through he walked past me before saying. “Welcome to the Justice League. We need as many heavy hitters as we can get right now to stop these senseless deaths and I’m willing to go over the other member's heads to make you a member.”
He seemed angry but that was understandable for him. Thousands of people just died and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
