Chapter 21 Deliberation

The two brothers returned to the same interview room. Wei Hongbo found the materials about Li Yunxiang, turned to the medical examination records, and found two records from this year.

One is a routine physical examination done at the hospital in late January; the other is an electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring record from February 21 to 22.

His focus hadn't been on this before, so he hadn't noticed it. But now that he saw it, he found it a bit strange, so he called Wu Wenjun aside and asked him about it.

"Our company does not allow people with a history of epilepsy to hold the position of environmental maintenance worker. EEG monitoring is a test for this condition," Wu Wenjun explained. "Our company's EEG monitoring equipment is more sensitive and easier to use than the equipment in hospitals."

"Why do we have to do it for two days in a row?"

"Actually, it's one night, because we need to do sleep EEG monitoring. It's said to be more accurate this way, but I don't know the specific principle behind it."

Wei Hongbo looked at Wei Hongsi, who then said, "It's not easy to detect abnormal brain waves when epilepsy is not present, but epileptiform discharges can be activated during sleep."

Wei Hongbo nodded and continued to look through Li Yunxiang's medical examination records.

Wu Wenjun said, "It's probably late July or early August."

Wei Hongbo nodded, then asked, "Where is your company's General Manager Meng now?"

Having Ji Yongsheng step forward serves two purposes: firstly, it is in accordance with Pang Weizhi's status, which is a basic social etiquette; secondly, if it involves some major decisions, Ji Yongsheng can make the final decision directly.

After hanging up the phone, Wu Wenjun said to Wei Hongsi, "Engineer Wei, thank you so much for this trip."

Wei Hongsi said, "Mr. Wu, you're too kind. This is just my duty."

Wu Wenjun called Wei Hongsi, intending to ask him to answer some technical questions. However, during the police questioning, they almost never encountered this situation.

However, he noticed that Wei Hongsi and Wei Hongbo were not around for a period of time, which meant that the two brothers had obviously discussed some issues.
