More than a dragon Warrior

Gyantse City

Gyantse City

Gyantse City

[Tai Lung's POV]

After a few more days of travel, we finally reached the city closest to the fallen city of Shigatse. It was called Gyantse.

Gyantse was located around a hundred kilometres away from Shigatse and it was a much smaller city. The size of the city would be around half of Shgatse with only around a quarter population.

The city was not known for its economy or trade but for other cultural and religious reasons. The city was definitely tamer than most cities I had gone to with fewer travellers.

Mei and I sneaked into the city because there was a strong security where every person had a thorough background check in the wake of the battle. It was not just to stop intruders from entering the city but also to prevent the people of Shigatse from losing thier homes.

the people who suffered due to our battle were plenty and the city did not want these people to come in bulk and stay homeless in thier home. Only those with skills were allowed inside while also taking into consideration the number as they did not want a crowded city.

Not so religious-like but I guess the people of Tibet were not kind or connected compared to China. Back home, even people from different kingdoms were kinder to each other.

So we sneaked inside the city which was not difficult at all because Mei could hypnotise people so that we were virtually invisible. A useful skill, one I immediately asked her to teach me.

We went to the guild of the city and rented a house with a big compound. These houses were mostly favored by the nobles and rich but I thought it was better than staying in an inn. It would also provide us with a better training ground.

The city was completely different from the likes of Shigatse although the culture was similar. Fewer people crowded the streets and the houses there were only around 2 or 3 storeys and made from sundried bricks.

The city was also much hotter and dryer than compared to Shigatse and the lack of nearby lakes or water sources made the fish prices exponentially higher, we immediately noticed this specific fact.

But then again, the prices were not unaffordable. Fish itself was not the most liked dish so the prices was not high enough to stop us from eating it everyday.

There were lots of wells in the Gyantse and there was a giant bath in the upper town of the city which they said was used by the public.

All in all the city was peaceful and almost seemed like a vacation spot.

...

"Wow, the house is way better than I expected. And the compound is also very big. How much did you pay for it again?" Mei asked while she walked around the house and looked out to the yard.

"It was three thousand but I got it for two due to fear factor." I said with a shrug and followed behind her as we toured the house.

They said they could give us a tour but we declined and said we would explore on our own. The house itself was bigger than the student barracks in the Jade Palace and there was a well in the yard as well.

The city was dry like I said but our yard had patches of grass growing on them. The house was located in the upper town which was generally for rich people and the compound itself seemed to be built right above a great underground water.

"This is good." I said with a smile.

The city of Gyantse was not located on the route to China and it was not an important military city like Shigatse. So I could not be laid back like I was back then if I were to stay as a protector of China.

But I already came up with a solution. I would just have to use my heightened senses along with inner peace to expand my senses to a disgusting degree.

It would probably suck to always hear and to have such a wide area of sensory but it was also a good training. Last time, I was tricked due to the fact that I always limited my senses because I find hearing and smelling everything all the time annoying.

I couldn't let history repeat itself.

Even though the little trickster is already on my side.

Speaking about previous enemies on my side, it was funny how friends and foes change as easily as the weather. It started from the furious five, then Po, Master Shifu and then it was Shen until even Mighty Eagle himself was on my side the last time we met.

[Tai Lung's POV]

I woke up to the feeling of my lower canine being touched by a slender finger. I remained still as the finger went from one tooth to the other.

I opened my mouth and swiftly chomped down on the hand. I did not apply much pressure as it was only a playful bite.

"...ouch." Mei whispered softly but made no attempt to take her hand away.

I opened my eyes and gave her a questioning gaze.

"I was just wondering why you have such big lower canines protruding out. I see most felines have them as well but for thier power upper teeth." She asked me.

I looked at her for a while before I opened my mouth and she took her hand away.

"Its because I trained every single part of my body. And that includes my jaws as well since biting was a vital weapon in battle." I said and I turned my head to the side so she could see my jaw muscles.

"You can only move your lower jaw to bite," I said and Mei tired it and noticed that her jaws didn't close. It was only the lower jaw that moved up when chewing or biting.

"I trained my jaw and biting power. Then the muscle grew too much that it pushed my jaw outwards, making it significantly bigger compared to the rest of my face."

"That's awesome." She said and I smiled.

"It is. I can tear apart any armour or steel with my bite." I said. "When my claws were still not fully developed and before learning the Dragon Claw technique, I would often bite my enemy's neck and rip out their throat to kill them."

She just stared back at me, slumped by the honest answer. I went out of bed and stretched my limbs while looking outside.

It was afternoon and around an hour away from sunset.

"Get up, we have training to do." I said and Mei groaned.

I had trained her body and taught her how to use her powers properly recently but she was having some difficulties. She could order other chis to strengthen the people but she couldn't just command her chi to do the same. She had to learn how to do it manually so she was struggling with that.

For all her sly cunning and proficient use of her powers, she had zero creativity in using her power to attack others. I could not have that.

No one under me should be weak.

"No training, no dinner." I said and she quickly made her hair and fixed her clothes before sprining out of bed.

Now that I was able to understand her power on a deeper level with being a human, i could guide her properly to be stronger.

Soon enough, I would turn her into a monster like I did the Furious Five.
