Chapter 11 Agreement Reached
Chapter 11 Agreement Reached
Inside the space, by the river.
Mo Ze stood facing the river. The scenery he used to love held no appeal for him now. He was racking his brains trying to figure out how to face the upcoming meeting.
Little did he know that what he feared was about to happen, and the person he longed to see but dared not see was approaching him.
Having developed a suspicion, Lin Shushu immediately spread her divine sense to survey the entire space, something that the owner of the space could easily do.
Upon closer inspection, she was nearly speechless with shock. What was going on? There really was someone there—a man!
Without a second thought, she immediately slipped to the riverbank.
Mo Ze was still lost in his thoughts when suddenly a long sword was held to his neck, and at the same time a woman's voice sounded behind him: "Who are you? How did you get in?"
Mo Ze froze, his hands clenched into fists, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. He had imagined many scenarios of their formal meeting, but he never expected this moment to come so soon.
Seeing that the other party did not answer, Lin Shushu pushed the tip of her sword in a little further, and she was about to accidentally cut the other party's neck.
"Turn around," Lin Shushu commanded.
Mo Ze closed his eyes briefly, then opened them again, his eyes filled with determination; the trepidation he had felt earlier was gone.
As the figure in front of her slowly turned around, Lin Shushu saw what the other person looked like, and a look of amazement appeared in her eyes.
The person in front of me was 1.9 meters tall, with a handsome and upright figure. His face was as if it had been carefully sculpted, with perfect features and no flaws. At this moment, he was looking at me with a pair of deep eyes, his lips trembling, but in the end, he did not say anything.
Mo Ze was conflicted. Although he didn't intend to hide his identity, it was still a little embarrassing for him to tell the girl in front of him that he was the rabbit she was holding and stroking.
Seeing that the girl was about to get angry, Mo Ze blurted out, "I am Duoduo."
Lin Shushu wondered if she had misheard. "Say it again, who are you?"
Having said that, Mo Ze was no longer hesitant. He said seriously, "I am Duoduo, the one you brought back yourself."
"You've become a spirit?" Lin Shushu was greatly shocked. She didn't doubt this fact too much. Instead, she thought to herself, "Sure enough, the space is a breeding ground for people. Even rabbits can turn into people."
Upon hearing her question, a blush crossed Mo Ze's face, and he gently removed the long sword from his neck.
Lin Shushu sheathed her sword and led him to sit down on the stone bench next to her. "Tell me what happened."
"I was originally human, but I was so badly injured that I turned into a rabbit. I happened to fall here and was rescued by you..."
After Mo Ze explained, Lin Shushu finally understood the whole story. She smiled awkwardly. It couldn't be blamed on her. An animal turning into a living person was practically a spirit. That's how it is in Chinese mythology. In the world of cultivation, it would be an extremely common occurrence.
"Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Mo Ze, and I am from the Mo family of the Imperial Star. Before my injury, I was the commander of the First Army Group..."
Lin Shushu gently squeezed the hand that the other person had extended. Since the other person was so open, she had nothing to hide, since the other person already knew her biggest secret.
"My name is Lin Shushu. I used to live in the Lin family on the Imperial Star. Now I have no connection with them. I am just myself, the master of this planet."
Seeing that she was unwilling to say more, Mo Ze did not press her further, after all, everyone has secrets they do not want to reveal to outsiders.
After they shared where they came from, the scene fell silent.
A blush crept onto Lin Shushu's face. She remembered how she used to carry Duoduo everywhere she went, and she felt embarrassed. She lowered her eyes and dared not look at Mo Ze again.
Mo Ze noticed her red earlobes and understood what she was thinking. He also recalled the scenes of the two of them together before, and the blush that had just faded returned to his face.
For a moment, only the rustling of willow branches in the breeze could be heard by the riverbank where the two were. A strange feeling quietly sprouted in their hearts.
"you……"
"I……"
The two spoke at the same time, then looked at each other and smiled, breaking the long silence.
Mo Ze raised his hand, signaling Lin Shushu to speak first. She was the owner here and had the right to decide everything, including arrangements for him.
When do you want to leave?
Upon hearing this, Mo Ze lowered his eyes; she was indeed going to send him away.
If he were anywhere else, he would have been eager to leave, but here, he couldn't bear to leave. After staying here for more than half a year, he had completely fallen in love with this kind of life—peaceful, warm, and most importantly, it was a place where she was.
After a long silence, Lin Shushu looked at Mo Ze. Because his eyes were downcast, she couldn't see what he was thinking, but she could tell that he seemed to have been hit hard and looked dejected.
Seemingly guessing something, Lin Shushu tentatively asked, "Don't you want to go back? Or, why don't you rest and recover before you leave?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Ze immediately looked up, his eyes filled with excitement, the light within them seemingly capable of illuminating the night sky.
Sensing his happiness, Lin Shushu softened. "You can stay as long as you want. Anyway, I'm all alone here, so you staying will keep me company."
A smile crept onto Mo Ze's face, and he radiated a charming, sunny aura. Lin Shushu shyly looked away.
"You can stay, but you are not allowed to reveal anything about me to anyone, not even your parents."
Mo Ze nodded repeatedly. This unexpected joy came too suddenly. He felt every cell in his body was invigorated, and his whole being seemed to be expanding.
He didn't need any instructions; he knew all too well that everything about Lin Shushu was too outrageous, yet enough to make anyone's eyes redden. If it were leaked, this place would no longer be peaceful, and it might even bring her danger, something he absolutely did not want to see.
"I agree to let you stay, but I don't keep idle people here. Furthermore, to prevent you from leaking the secret, we need to draw up a contract. If you break it, you will have to give me all your property," Lin Shushu announced domineeringly.
Mo Ze nodded indulgently, saying that even if it weren't for the future, he could give her all his wealth right now. However, Mo Ze knew that even if he gave it to her, she wouldn't accept it. After all, even a blade of grass in her spatial storage was a treasure; why would she care about his material possessions?
Mo Ze was unaware that he had guessed wrong. Lin Shushu would never complain about having too much money. Besides, she hadn't even raised enough for her planet's maintenance fees yet. It would be foolish not to take the money.
No matter how much wealth he has, Mo Ze doesn't have a single star coin to his name right now. His personal computer was lost somewhere when the accident happened, and his spatial button is also missing. The clothes he's wearing now were left behind by the old master in the attic.
He blushed and looked at Lin Shushu, once again hesitating to speak.
"Just say what you want to say. It's just the two of us here. Are you afraid of being laughed at?" Lin Shushu found it both funny and helpless that Mo Ze blushed so easily.
Mo Ze finally made his request, hoping that Lin Shushu would buy him a personal computer so he could let his parents know he was safe.
Speaking of buying a computer, Lin Shushu thought of her online store. She had already shipped two orders, and the payment should have arrived by now.
