Chapter 163 Assassin Guilds

Chapter 163 Assassin Guilds

The destruction of Venom Fang sent shockwaves through the underworld.

The remaining assassin guilds quickly realized:

Leon wasn't just defending himself.

He was coming for all of them.

Desperate, five remaining assassin guilds—Nightshade Order, Phantom Blades, Crimson Lotus, Black Scorpions, and Eclipse Fang—formed an alliance to eliminate him first.

They put a bounty on Leon's head: Explore more at My Virtual Library Empire

500,000 gold for his corpse.

Mercenaries, rogue adventurers, and even some of the top-ranked assassins on the Fifth Floor started hunting him.

But Leon only grinned when he heard the news.

"Good. Saves me the trouble of finding them myself."

The Nightshade Order was known for shadow magic and illusion techniques, specializing in eliminating their targets without leaving a trace.

Their base was hidden deep inside a forest shrouded in eternal night.

Leon walked right in.

The assassins tried surrounding him with illusion traps—but Leon, having fought stronger beings, simply ignored them.

When one assassin lunged from behind, he caught the man's face midair and smashed it into the ground so hard the entire floor cracked.

Roselia summoned a demonic storm, tearing through the guild's defenses.

Millim giggled as she ripped the soul out of a screaming assassin, licking her lips.

Roman cut down their leader, severing his head in a single stroke.

Leon stood amidst the carnage, staring down the last survivors.

"Go ahead. Run. Tell the others I'm coming."

The terrified assassins fled, carrying the message to the remaining guilds:

Nightshade Order is gone. Leon is unstoppable.

In the shadows of the Fifth Floor, a figure watched the massacre unfold.

A man in a dark robe, sitting on a throne made of skulls and blades.

His name was Azrael, the Assassin King, the leader of the strongest assassination guild—Eclipse Fang.

For years, he had ruled the Fifth Floor's underworld with absolute fear.

Now?

"You don't strike me as a man who cares for politics. You want freedom, don't you?"

"And?" Leon raised an eyebrow.

"Join Eclipse Fang." Azrael smirked. "Not as a pawn, not as a subordinate—but as my partner."

Roselia and the others, hidden in the shadows, tensed. But Leon?

He simply chuckled. "And why the hell would I do that?"

Azrael leaned back. "Because unlike those fools you crushed, I know power when I see it."

He gestured around. "The Fifth Floor is too small for you, Leon. You need something bigger. Something grander. You have the strength to rule, but you lack the infrastructure. I can give you that."

Leon's grin widened. "Oh? And what's in it for you?"

Azrael's eyes darkened. "A future where the Assassin Guilds answer to no one but us. No nobles, no kingdoms, no rules. Just absolute power."

Leon leaned forward, resting his elbow on his knee as he smirked at Azrael.

"You know, you talk a lot for someone who's about to die."

Azrael's golden eyes gleamed with amusement. "Is that so?"

In the blink of an eye, the room exploded into shadows and steel.

'Do you really think I am an idiot' Leon inwardly scoffed as he got ready for the battle, from the start Azrael aimed to kill him or he won't have his skills ready.

Azrael vanished.

Leon's instincts screamed at him as five daggers shot toward him from different angles, each one aimed at a vital point—neck, heart, spine, and both legs.

Clang!

Leon's blade flashed as he deflected three daggers in a single sweep, while twisting his body midair to dodge the last two.

Before his feet touched the ground—

SWOOSH!

Azrael reappeared behind him, twin shadow blades descending toward Leon's skull.

"Too slow."

Leon spun, his sword clashing against Azrael's, sending shockwaves through the chamber. Sparks flew as they exchanged a dozen strikes in a single second, their weapons moving too fast for the eye to follow.

"You've got some skill," Leon admitted, grinning.

Azrael smirked. "And you haven't even seen the fun part."

Suddenly—

"Shadow Clone: Phantom Waltz."

Azrael's body split into five identical copies, each radiating killing intent.

Leon narrowed his eyes.
