Cheng Qi found it peculiar how Li Tianyan managed to be embarrassed.

“It’s so dirty, and you still pick it up.” Li Tianyan looked at the item in Cheng Qi’s hand with disgust. It was stained with filth and had an unpleasant odor, yet Cheng Qi held it as if it were nothing.

“It doesn’t matter; I will wash it clean.” Cheng Qi wrung out the water from the clothes, refolded them, and placed them beside him. “Young master, do you know how we got here?”

“Why did you call me ‘young master’?” Li Tianyan found it amusing. Li Wu and Xiao Liu were servants who referred to him as young master, but Cheng Qi seemed to join in on the act.

“I don’t know what to call you.” Cheng Qi pinched his fingers in embarrassment, glancing from side to side.

“We’ve changed the Geng Tie and got married. What do you think you should call me?” Li Tianyan’s mouth curved into a slight smile. He never thought he had such a mischievous side, but seeing Cheng Qi’s reddened face, he couldn’t resist teasing.

As expected, Cheng Qi blushed at his words. However, recalling what he had heard from Cheng Mansion’s servants about Li Tianyan being in love with the eldest sister, he came to his senses. “I... I’ll still call you young master, okay?”

Li Tianyan noticed Cheng Qi’s change, realizing that the little shuanger must be naturally optimistic and cheerful but was forced into this state. After sighing, he stopped joking and spoke cautiously. “You can call me brother.”

“Brother?” Cheng Qi tilted his head, thinking for a moment. It seemed inappropriate to call Li Tianyan just ‘brother,’ so he settled on, “Brother Tianyan.”

“Do as you like.” Li Tianyan shrugged indifferently.

“Brother Tianyan, do you know why we came here?” Cheng Qi, after grappling with the question of how to address him, brought up the important topic.

Li Tianyan: “...” He hadn’t forgotten about it.

Seeing Cheng Qi’s expression of curiosity, Li Tianyan explained, “It was the teleportation talisman that sent us here.”

“Teleportation talisman?” Cheng Qi blinked in surprise, suddenly recalling the yellow talisman that Li Tianyan held at the door. It turned out the talisman was for teleportation. “That’s amazing.”

Cheng Qi looked at Li Tianyan with shining eyes. With such a small piece of yellow paper, one could travel wherever they wanted.

“Where are we now?” Cheng Qi was curious about everything around him. It was his first time seeing such a large lake.

“This is the outskirts of Jincheng. Haven’t you been here before?” The original owner had ventured outside the city with his friends in the past, so Li Tianyan was familiar with this area.

Cheng Qi shook his head, “No, mother never allowed me to leave, and I don’t know what Jincheng looks like.”

Li Tianyan looked at Cheng Qi’s youthful face and sighed. Those with the Yin Yuan body were destined for a grim fate; he wondered if this young fellow could alter his destiny. “Have you ever witnessed Tianfan Immortal Sect selecting disciples, particularly the outer elders?”

“No,” Cheng Qi replied, shaking his head. He had been unwell during Tianfan Immortal Sect election and hadn’t even left his room.

“That’s good,” Li Tianyan said, relieved. It was better for Cheng Qi to avoid exposure to those so-called immortals. One could never be certain if this sect possessed special means to detect spiritual body.

Li Tianyan exchanged a few words with Cheng Qi before finding a place to sit down and regulate his breathing. To use the teleportation talisman and return, he needed his spiritual energy to recover.

Fortunately, with Cheng Qi beside him, the wild scents were masked by the fragrance emanating from his body, providing relief to Li Tianyan’s sense of smell.

Cheng Qi sat quietly with his chin in his hands, his eyes were irresistibly drawn to the colorful bead in Li Tianyan’s hand. He couldn’t shake the feeling there were many intriguing aspects on Li Tianyan.

“Young madam, where did you go just now?” Xiao Liu asked as Cheng Qi pushed the door open, quickly standing up to greet him.

He just went to wash clothes. When he returned, he noticed the young madam and the young master were missing. Xiao Liu searched many places but couldn’t find them, not daring to alarm the people in Li Mansion. He just waited worriedly.

“I was out for a walk,” Cheng Qi said to Xiao Liu with erratic eyes, confirming that he indeed went for a walk with Li Tianyan in the countryside.

“Walking?” Although Xiao Liu found it a bit strange to go for a walk in the middle of the night, he didn’t press further, saying, “It’s late at night, young madam, please rest soon.”

“Okay, Xiao Liu, you should go to bed,” Cheng Qi added.

After he finished speaking, he took off his shoes and went to bed, noticing Xiao Liu preparing to make a bed on the floor by the door. Perplexed, he asked, “Xiao Liu, aren’t you going to sleep on the bed?”

Li Wu was used to sleep alone in the side room before, there was only one bunk bed in the room. Xiao Liu could not sleep on it without crowding Cheng Qi.

“No, no, young madam, you can sleep there, I can sleep on the floor,” Xiao Liu quickly waved his hand, stating it was against the rules for him to sleep in the side room, let alone in the same bed as the young madam.

“Come up, the place is pretty big anyway,” Cheng Qi insisted, patting the empty spot next to him. “No one will know if I don’t tell anyone.”

“This...” Xiao Liu hesitated, but in the end, Cheng Qi persuaded him. Moving the quilt to the bed, Cheng Qi laid down contentedly, quickly falling into a deep sleep.

Note:

I’m not sure about the birthdate of Yin Yuan Body, but from my rough calculation and understanding. Jiaxu is the dog sign so it contains yang energy, thus it couldn’t be a pure Yin birthdate.
