"Brother is as ruthless as always," Amelia muttered.

"He's a businessman," Sophia, whose family was the one at disadvantage, was calmer than Amelia. "Besides, in this special situation, it's clear that only those who are strong will be able to stay ahead while those who are weaker had to accept that they're weak. If they want to change their status quo, they just have to work harder."

Amelia looked at Sophia in surprise. "I don't expect you to say something like that. I thought you will be devastated first."

Riya also glanced at these two but part of her attention was still on the matter below. She was not too close with Sophia and the others aside from the fact that they were all staying on the same dormitory floor.

After all, Sophia didn't like staying in the dormitory.

She often went out to play and rarely came back. Whenever she did, there would be a quarrel with Ruby about their room's arrangement.

"I like to play around but I also understand that in business, anything could happen." Sophia rolled her eyes. "Besides, even if my family stood at the top back then, it doesn't mean that they would always stay on the top. If they want to keep their places, they had to keep working hard and be prepared for any situation."

This was how Sophia was raised in her family and Sophia understood that being in a big family was not that easy.

Samuel smiled faintly. "I see. It seems that you have come to an agreement with one of the military branches."

"The Lawson Family will not agree with your proposition."

"Even if you have connection with the military, it doesn't mean that you can overstep the laws, Mr. Lawson. I hope you do remember that if you do crimes, the lightest punishment is to stay in the prison outside," Samuel said slowly.

Not long ago, Joshua Lawson had just tried to shoot his sister. If the Lawson Family was determined to save Joshua, then they could really do that but then Samuel would have to kindly ask them out.

He didn't want anyone to use their personal power to influence the law during this period of time.

"Don't worry." Mr. Lawson narrowed his eyes and said, "We don't need troublemaker either."

Of course, Sophia and Riya stopped Amelia.

Sophia patted Amelia's head to calm her friend down. "They'll definitely meet those magic beasts if they go outside. You don't have to curse others."
