Runemaster in the Last Days

Chapter 45 Anger

Chapter 45 Anger

"I see. But I better not see you bother my friend." Amelia saw that Riya was alright and heaved a sigh of relief secretly. She looked at Ciera unkindly and pulled Riya into the room again.

Ciera wanted to argue but Amelia had slammed the door in front of her.

Slam!

Her face was blue with anger, but Ciera tried her best to hold it back. "I want to wash first."

"Yes."

...

Inside the room, Amelia looked at Riya up and down. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, but it seems the drinks you ordered wouldn't come anytime soon." Riya shrugged.

"Just a few drinks are fine." Sophia turned off the music and looked at Riya and Amelia. "Someone bothered you?"

"Ciera," Riya replied indifferently.

Sophia was not very close to Riya, but she knew Riya's background a bit. Just like Amelia, her parents would not allow her to get close to anyone without them knowing the background clearly to prevent them befriending bad people.

"What did she do?"

Riya looked at Amelia and Sophia, not really wanting to talk about it. But when she saw that Ruby was also interested, she had to say what Ciera did and her action of evading.

"Tsk, I should have slapped her before we come here." Amelia suddenly felt that dragging Riya into the room alone was not enough. She should have taught Ciera some lessons.

"Don't bother with her. You come here to have fun, so there's no need to pay any attention to her." Riya looked at Amelia helplessly.

Riya blinked her eyes.

Thinking about it from another perspective, she was indeed nothing more than a university student with some meagre skills. While she could live in her world forever and no one would be able to find her, she didn't want to do that.

Not being able to see the outside world...

That would be quite painful.

Riya didn't want to destroy her entire life because of her conflict with the Taylor Family.

"I'll figure something out." Riya pursed her lips.

"Alright. If you ever need help, you can tell us." Amelia grinned. "For this kind of small matter, I can still help you."

Riya nodded.

She acted mostly out of impulse just now.

Thinking about it now, she should have hold back a little bit and made sure that Taylor Family couldn't trouble her in the slightest bit.

Perhaps, in the future there would be a way.

For now, she will just focus on developing herself. With her memory strengthened due to magic, Riya was sure that if she wanted to learn many things, it was no longer impossible.

"Let's stop talking about it. Can we talk about something else?" Ruby didn't want to disclose more of her research because she was worried that other people will steal it. She had worked hard for so many years for herself and not make wedding dresses for others.

"And no more song."

Sophia pouted.

Riya thought of something and asked, "Do you know anything about good jade and the place to obtain it for cheap?"
