Chapter 349 Hate and Rage

Chapter 349 Hate and Rage

Silva walked out of the now dilapidated castle with Mike's body in his hand. When he stepped out, the guardians had come, and they saw Silva bringing out Mike.

Immediately they saw him, Lily tried to hide something, but Silva still spotted it—Roxy's body, completely ripped in half.

His face remained emotionless after seeing that. He walked to them. "Is she the only one?" he asked, his tone flat and hollow.

"We have found everyone else. She died, and no one knew the cause. She was in hiding when we found her body ripped apart.

Aside from her, the only person that we haven't seen is Leah," Lily said. She bowed her head as she spoke, not meeting Silva's gaze.

"Leah is dead. She was the cause of all this—the mole we never suspected," Silva said. He carefully handed Mike's body to her and faced the castle. Read new adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

"I've taken care of their officials that were in the castle, but I believe there are still more hiding," Silva said and stretched out his right hand.

A fireball started forming over the castle. It grew in size until it was half as large as the castle, and then he allowed the fireball to fall. The castle exploded on contact, completely destroyed in a second.

"Let's go," Silva said and turned around. They all followed him quietly. "What was the death total?" he asked, still with an emotionless voice.

"We lost close to seventy percent of the people here, and the rest have run away, trying to find safety," Drake said.

"So the kingdom no longer exists, then?" Silva asked.

"We can rebuild, Master," Drake said.

"No, I don't have time for that. We are at war," Silva said, his voice so cold it dropped the temperature around them.

"If any of you can hear this, then please head to the center of the capital now."

After sending that message, he went quiet again, and ten minutes later, Lia came running, her eyes darting around to see if her father and mother were there. But instead, she saw Mike's body in Lily's hand.

She froze in her steps, shivered uncontrollably, and then let out a scream before falling to her knees. Silva glanced up at her. He didn't say anything else, and then he looked down.

Soon after, Dawn, Fang, Gallan, Amber, Fay, and Quin came out. Quin's wounds had all been healed up by now. When he saw Mike's body as well, he paused for a moment, then gritted his teeth and kept walking.

He didn't even take another look at Mike. He forced himself to look forward, walking straight to Silva.

"Mom, Dad?" he asked.

Silva didn't look up. He just responded. "Dead. We couldn't even find the bodies," Silva said.

Lia heard what he said, and she finally snapped. She got up and charged at Silva. She tackled him and started raining punches on him.

"Why? Why? (sob) Where were you? (sob) You were supposed to protect them—all of them. Why did you let them die?"

She kept crying and hitting Silva. Silva lay on the ground, quietly receiving her anger. She needed an outlet, so he would take it all.

Quin moved to remove her, but Silva glanced at him. His eyes told him not to. Lia continued hitting him over and over until she got tired and started sobbing on him.

That was when Silva moved his arms and hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry. I didn't do what I was supposed to. I couldn't make it back in time. I allowed them to die because of my incompetence.

I'm sorry, Lia. No amount of words will change the fact that it has happened, but one thing is for sure—I'll make sure you drive a blade into the heart of the people that did this, and we will both watch them die in a puddle of their own blood." Silva spoke, his voice cold and serious. His eyes held hate and rage. Since the death of Mike, this was the first emotion he showed.
