Chapter 19: Bobo! IV

Gem Master Todd looked at the scene of Claire buzzing with her wings of lightning and flying up with incredulity and dismay as he couldn’t help but curse.

"Shit!"

The earth below him continued to shake.

His figure was pulled up by Gem Master Azazel as these veterans had to make a hard choice, gazing at the dozens of other injured Gem Masters as they bellowed out.

"Retreat!"

They moved speedily.

They didn’t even look back towards the flood of Black Furred Beasts surging towards them.

They gathered everyone they could- they gathered all those with a heartbeat as they rushed back towards the direction of the Inner Barracks!

Those with a heartbeat.

This was because during the initial blast of red tendrils of light that the Black Furred Gorilla had released in their temporary camp- it was powerful enough that a few Awakened Gem Masters never rose again.

There were already casualties- they couldn’t afford any more!

OH! OH! OH!

Behind them, the bellows of Gorillas echoed out as they moved ever faster, Gem Master Todd and other long ranged Gem Masters occasionally turning around to shoot lightning arrows at the wave of darkness coming towards them.

Todd and Azazel had to grit their teeth while looking at the skies and hoped.

They hoped that somehow, the bright light with the Variant Life Socket that had surprised all of them wouldn’t fail, and the newly Awakened Five-Link Gem Master would fall along with him!

In the midst of all of this danger, they didn’t even have time to entertain and wonder how Alexander was able to do what he did.

Just what Variant Life Socket did he have, and how come it allowed him to erupt with such power?!

Such thoughts only came in passing as under the assault of a cloud of black furred Beasts behind them, they only rushed towards the entrance of this Tier 1 Breach faster.

BOOM!

Another glacial explosion echoed out that moved the body of Bobo, the Four-Link Black Furred Gorilla, ever higher.

It felt like another world entirely.

Before he began to fall, he wondered.

Just what would he be able to see if he reached the highest point of these skies?

Just as he had this thought, his eyes caught something on the edge as it was...

"Alexander!" The buzzing figure Claire, with her radiant blue wings of Lightning, reached him.

His figure that was about to begin its descent felt her hands wrap around him, her bountiful chest pushing on his back as she looked down at the falling Bobo.

He didn’t ask her why she didn’t listen to him as since she was here...

"On my signal, release the strongest blast of lightning you can gather, okay?"

...!

He spoke calmly in the skies as she nodded towards him.

"Now, dive down."

Without hesitation, she followed his words.

They on top, Bobo on the bottom. Their figures fell down with the sheer weight of Bobo making him crash towards the earth at an unprecedented pace!

And it was at this point that Alexander released the blast of explosion from the frozen glacier and directed it downwards, further adding on to how fast Bobo was crashing down.

"Now!"

Behind him, Claire’s wings fluttered as he felt her hot breath on his neck.

His senses showed him her serious gaze as the centermost Gem on her chest flashed with a brilliant blue light- a cerulean lightning bolt instantly crashing down from above them to further strike the figure of Bobo and accelerate him even further!

A fearsome bellow was heard as the earth neared for Bobo.

Below him, a cloud of black furred creatures that were chasing the other Gem Masters only felt a shadow cover them as by the time they looked up...

BOOM!

Like a meteor, the massive body of the Four-Link Black Furred Gorilla smashed down!
