In such a heavy situation, Alexander found himself becoming increasingly calm.

Every time he felt a thread of his Vigor and Energeia increase from all the Socketed Gems he had.

At this moment, he came to a realization.

He had more Gems Socketed inside of his body than any single Gem Master in the history of the Human Lineages.

Within the Ascendant Branches of Human Lineages, he had heard rumors and Legends of Gem Masters who had Seven-Link Sockets or even Eight-Link Sockets.

The Legends that had stood against the onslaught of Beasts of Corruption and carved out areas in their World of Ephesus that stood tall to this very day.

He may just be starting out, but he had more Gems socketed than even these Legends!

This realization.

This moment when a tide of Beasts came towards him, his Father, and many other Gem Masters of the City of Carthage...this moment caused a sensation to be amplified in the depths of his mind.

The sensation of confidence.

This whole time, things were murky and filled with uncertainty.

His own power. The power of other people and Beasts.

There was a lot of careful consideration and hesitation in his actions as there was still a lot he didn’t know!

But after all of these considerations, after multiple exposures of what his own power was capable of...Alexander arrived at a place where he could confidently take more risk while being sure that his own power could handle it.

So he closed his eyes while sitting atop an Arctic Wolf Beast of Corruption who had tendrils of blue lightning constantly crashing around it.

The lightning didn’t harm a hair on his body as due to its sheer power, there was nobody around him.

She already blamed herself as the cause for all of this, so she had to grow her own combat power and mentality to overcome whatever else was coming as he couldn’t always shield her behind him!

She had the talent others didn’t.

He wouldn’t hide her under the guise of protection and cause her brightness to dim.

And at this moment, she shone brilliantly in the skies even though above, her father looked towards her figure with despair as he seemed to be asking her why she would come here.

But Alexander looked at these worries as unfounded, purely because...he was here.

And the pain of loss he and his father were put through. The pain of losing a loved one without ever seeing them again.

He would make sure nobody close to him ever felt this pain again!

HUUM!

His eyes opened wide.

Tendrils of the blue lightning around the Arctic Wolf coiled around Claire harmlessly and pulled her near him as his voice was slow.

"Stay close to me."

His dark pupils seemed to shine with strength as beside him, the Golden Flame Lion pushed off the scorched earth and flung its enlarged body towards the newly appearing Tier 4 Ascendant Gem Master and the Beasts of Corruption surrounding it in the skies.

The massive Arctic Wolf did the same, and as the bodies of these two minions surged forward, more changes were already unfolding around them as the rest of the support Gems were placed on his Enneagram for the Minion King Gem Recipe.

The Fourth Support Ability Gem was a particularly wonderful one as it made it so that Alexander could not come even close to death unless the Minions he was connected to were also dead.

It gave him even greater survivability while the remaining two Support Gems sealed the deal on this terrifying Gem Recipe put together by his Enneagram!
