Chapter 127 Meeting The King
Chapter 127 Meeting The King
A carriage rolled in the street of the Capital City, heading towards a tall building in the distance.
People walking in the street and even the ones selling items all stopped just to stare at the carriage.
Well, it was to be expected, because with a glance, they could all tell that it was the type of carriage that could levitate, even though it was moving on the ground now.
This was the Capital City of Ainsley Kingdom, so of course, it wasn't like this was the first time they were seeing a carriage that can levitate.
The thing drawing their attention the most was the insignia on the carriage.
A man paused, staring at the carriage as it moved. "Isn't that the insignia of the well-known Greenfield Academy?"

"Exactly! I thought I was seeing things for a while."
"I'm very sure the students aren't on holiday yet, so maybe it's a teacher?"
"But still... What business would a teacher of the Academy have here? And moreover, if they took an Academy carriage, it must be serious."
What even made the people of the Capital City more concerned was the fact that the carriage was moving towards the Castle. They had never seen an Academy carriage going to the Castle before.
Though, since it didn't look like there was any threat or emergency, they carried on with their activities.
The carriage finally reached the Castle, stopping in front of the large gate.
There were four guards stationed in front of the gate, two each on the right and left side.
Immediately after the carriage stopped, a handsome boy with blue hair stepped out with a small smile on his face. He was wearing the Greenfield Academy's uniform.
He exchanged some words with the man who rode the carriage before walking towards the gate where the guards were present.@@@@
Immediately as he reached the gate, one of the guards opened it before speaking, "The King is waiting for you in the throne room."
Alex nodded his head as he glanced at the other guards before walking inside.
He paused for a second before he continued, "Greetings, great nobles."
The nobles were yet to say anything ever since Alex entered the room. Some of them just nodded their heads in response to his greeting.
A grin formed on the King's face as he glanced at the nobles. "We'll continue this discussion later."
His eyes darted back to Alex, whose head was still lowered, as he squinted his eyes. "For now, I have something to discuss with Alex..... In private."
"Understood, My King," they all said in unison as they stood up and began leaving the throne room.
Some of them glanced at Alex as they walked past him. It was clear that there were a few of them who didn't like him..... It was quite obvious.
'Ugh..... Damn nobles,' Alex thought as he waited for all of them to completely leave the room.
Finally, it was just him and the King.
"Hahaha!" Rowan Ainsley, the King, laughed as he stared at Alex. "When Orion told me about the meeting, I was slightly surprised, but then, I realized that there are really things we need to talk about."
Alex smiled. "Yes, and some of them are serious issues."
"Hmm, I know," Rowan said, his expression slowly turning serious. "Just know that the time is coming when this Kingdom will really need you more than ever."
"Of course," Alex said. "I know that. And I'll be more than ready to defend this Kingdom with my life."
Rowan smiled. "I believe you."
Alex glanced at the second throne that was empty. 'She's not around, huh? That's even better. She doesn't seem to like me around, and I don't like her either. She annoys me.'
He diverted his attention back to the King.
"So, what is the issue, Alex?" Rowan asked.
Alex's expression turned serious as he stared at the King. "Like you already know, it's about the Vampires."
"After the last war, they disappeared for two years, but now, I've come in contact with three of them in such a short timeframe."
Alex furrowed his brows. "I can feel it... Another war is coming..."
