Chapter 35 The Great Battle of Miraculous Herbs
Chapter Thirty-Five: The Great Battle of Miraculous Herbs
Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing stood before the majestic white tiger, feeling somewhat uneasy but maintaining their composure on the surface.
Xiaoqing rolled up her sleeves, put her hands on her hips, looked up at the white tiger, and shouted loudly, "Hey! Big white cat, don't think we're afraid of you just because you're big. Let me show you what I'm capable of!"
Upon hearing this, the white tiger's large, bell-like eyes widened even more, and it roared angrily, "What? Big white cat? You ignorant little brat, I am the majestic and incomparably brave Lord White Tiger! How dare you be so rude!"
Bai Suzhen quickly reached out and tugged at Xiaoqing, whispering, "Xiaoqing, don't talk nonsense. Be careful not to anger it; we can't afford to offend it."
Xiaoqing, however, straightened her neck and said nonchalantly, "Sister, what are you afraid of? Watch how I deal with it!" Before she finished speaking, she brandished her sword and charged forward.
With a swift movement, Baihu easily dodged Xiaoqing's fierce attack, and even shook his head and teased, "Oh, little girl, is that all the skill you have? Go home and practice for a few more years!"
Xiaoqing's face turned red with anger, and she stomped her feet, saying, "Don't be so smug! I haven't even used my real skills yet!"
At this moment, Bai Suzhen stepped forward, bowed slightly, and said politely, "Lord White Tiger, we have come here only to save lives and have no intention of offending you. We hope that you will be magnanimous and show mercy."
The white tiger snorted and flicked its tail, saying, "That sounds nice, but these herbs are my most prized possessions. How could I easily give them to outsiders like you?"
Liu Yu was still unconscious to the side. Xu Xian was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, pacing back and forth, muttering repeatedly, "What should we do? What should we do?"
Xiao Qing's eyes darted around, and she put on a flattering smile, saying with a grin, "Brother White Tiger, you're so powerful, so incredibly capable, and so majestic. You must have more than enough herbs. Please, be kind and give us the herbs."
Baihu turned his head away and shook it firmly, saying, "No, no, it's not that easy."
Seeing this, Xiaoqing gritted her teeth, suddenly made a big face, and shouted at the white tiger, "Hmph, if you don't give it to me, I'll bother you every day, disturb your peace, and make sure you can't even sleep well!"
The white tiger couldn't help but burst into laughter at her sudden action: "Hahaha, you little rascal, you're really clever and funny."
Taking the opportunity, Bai Suzhen said again, "Lord White Tiger, if you can be merciful and give us the herbs, we will definitely repay your great kindness in the future."
The white tiger tilted its head and thought for a moment, then slowly said, "Alright, seeing how sincere you are, but I have one condition."
Upon hearing that there was hope, everyone immediately asked in unison, "What are the conditions? Please tell us!"
Baihu pointed at Xiaoqing and said with a smile, "If you let this little girl dance for me and make me happy, I'll give you the herbs."
Xiaoqing's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Dancing? I can't do that!"
The white tiger crossed his arms and said with a wicked grin, "Then you can forget about these herbs."
Xiaoqing gritted her teeth, stomped her foot, and said, "I'll jump!"
So, Xiaoqing reluctantly began her awkward and strange dance. Her exaggerated movements and stiff limbs made everyone burst into laughter.
The white tiger laughed until tears streamed down its face, bending over with laughter as it said, "Alright, alright, stop jumping. Here are the herbs for you."
Everyone was overjoyed to receive the herbs and hurriedly gave them to Liu Yu. After a short while, Liu Yu slowly woke up.
He opened his eyes groggily, looking bewildered, and asked, "What happened to me? It feels like I slept for ages."
Xiaoqing laughed and said, "You, you took a nap and missed my wonderful dance performance."
Liu Yu looked incredulous: "Dance performance? What dance performance?"
Everyone chimed in with their stories, and Liu Yu couldn't help but laugh: "Xiao Qing, I never expected you would even dance to save me. You really went through all that trouble."
Xiaoqing rolled her eyes at him and said coquettishly, "Hmph, it was all to save you, otherwise I wouldn't have made such a fool of myself."
Just then, the system suddenly spoke up: "Congratulations, host, a new mission has been triggered: find the lost magic weapon."
Upon hearing this, Liu Yu immediately complained with a bitter face, "Ugh, these troubles just keep piling up, it's endless! Can't a person catch their breath?"
The group exchanged helpless glances, sighed, and had no choice but to pull themselves together and embark on a new journey.
They walked and walked until they came to a strange village. The villagers all had their heads hanging low and looked worried, as if all the troubles of the world were weighing on their shoulders.
Liu Yu curiously pulled a villager aside and asked, "Fellow villagers, what's wrong with you all? You all look so miserable, like the sky is about to fall."
The villager sighed and said, "Our village is being harassed by a monster that farts. Its farts are so smelly, they can make people faint. We can't live like this anymore."
Upon hearing this, Liu Yu and the others were taken aback at first, and then couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Xiaoqing laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight, saying between laughs, "A monster that can fart? That's really something! I want to see just how powerful this monster's farts are."
They decided to help the villagers get rid of this bizarre monster. After searching the village for a long time, they finally found the monster in a gloomy cave.
The moment the monster saw them, without saying a word, it let out a super smelly fart. The smell was a hundred times worse than rotten eggs.
Liu Yu nearly fainted from the stench. Covering her nose with her hand, she yelled, "My God, this stinks! I feel like my nose is going to fail!"
Bai Suzhen quickly cast a spell, trying to block the stench with a transparent barrier while simultaneously attempting to subdue the monster.
The monster was very agile, dodging left and right, and farting incessantly as it ran, filling the entire cave with an unbearable odor.
Xiaoqing covered her nose, brandished her sword, and shouted, "This guy is awful! I'll catch him and beat his ass to a pulp!"
After much effort and a great deal of struggle, the group finally subdued the monster.
The villagers were extremely grateful to them and invited them to their homes for a meal.
At the dinner table, Liu Yu was enjoying her meal when she suddenly noticed a dark, worm-like creature in her bowl.
He jumped up in fright and shouted, "Oh dear, there are bugs here!"
The villager scratched his head sheepishly, his face flushed, and said, "Our resources are limited, and we really don't have anything good to offer you. Please bear with us."
Liu Yu shook her head helplessly and said with a wry smile, "Never mind, just consider it an extra dish; it's rich in protein."
Everyone burst into laughter upon hearing this, and the tense atmosphere instantly became relaxed and pleasant.
After finishing their meal, they continued on their way.
As they walked, they came across a turbulent river, its current as swift as a wild horse.
Xu Xian looked at the river, his brow furrowed, and said worriedly, "How are we going to cross this? The current is so strong, won't it sweep us away?"
Liu Yu thought for a moment, then patted his chest and said, "How about we make a bamboo raft ourselves and paddle across?"
So everyone worked together to make a simple bamboo raft.
As soon as we sat on the bamboo raft, it started to rock and sway, as if it would fall apart at any moment.
Xiaoqing turned pale with fright and screamed, "Oh no! It's going to flip! It's going to flip!"
While frantically trying to maintain her balance, Liu Yu shouted, "Don't yell! The more you yell, the worse it will be!"
Just then, a gust of wind howled in, and the bamboo raft capsized instantly.
Everyone fell into the water, and were swept away by the rushing river, becoming dizzy and disoriented, turning into a disheveled and drenched mess.
After struggling to get ashore, they were all soaking wet, with messy hair and clothes covered in seaweed and mud, looking quite comical.
Bai Suzhen couldn't help but laugh when she saw everyone's disheveled appearance: "Look at your miserable state, it's both infuriating and hilarious."
Liu Yu wiped the water off his face with a wry smile and said, "There have been so many unexpected situations along the way, but it's okay, let's keep going!"
But they were not discouraged by these setbacks and continued to move towards their goal with full confidence...
