Chapter 109 Warehouse Mission (4)
Chapter 109 Warehouse Mission (4)
All of a sudden, through the continuous banging and bashing of calcified structures, a door not too far from us slightly creaked open. A man looked through the tiny crack, his pupils immediately dilating and his eyes soon quivering in place.
I almost wanted to shout at him to run, but after one last squeeze of the monstrous skull and shattering it yet again, the boy's now pitch-black eyes scanned across the floor, barely grazing my toes, and with not a single blink, he now stared at the man watching us. His bloodlust overwhelmed the man, with black strings reaching out toward him. Yanking him by the ankles and dragging him towards us as he clawed at the floor, the man screamed bloody mary as he felt the impending doom overwhelm his very being.
"Unsummon it," The boy ordered. The man could only let out a small yelp as he felt the claws of the massive incarnated wolf grab both of his legs. Each claw separated his legs until the tearing of flesh could be audibly heard across the room.

Angel and Wolf immediately threw up as they saw the man, still alive, watching his organs pour out from his bowel regions. His blood-curdling cry was enough to make me faint as I watched the boy, now with his physical hand, grab the top of the man's skull and begin to squeeze.
"I said fucking unsummon it," The boy repeated, clearly prepared to go further. And without even a second of hesitation, the regenerating monster of flesh and bones disintegrated into black ash. And as the man's cheeks were wet with tears, and blood practically filled the entire warehouse, the boy spoke up once more. "Who taught you how to do necromancy? Where did you learn to do necromancy? And you, Elora, ask some questions... this is your enemy... right?"
Angel was too scared to say anything as the boy's pupils slimmed down on her as if reacting to its next prey. But before that bloodlust could shoot out at her, the boy quickly suppressed the wolf by literally grabbing its head and chomping down on it. Blood sprayed the walls and floor of this warehouse, coating every square inch as the wolf was torn apart, bite by bite.
Soon, there was nothing more than the dead and ripped pieces of a massive wolf lying around him. He wiped the blood from his mouth and licked his teeth which were stained with blood and flesh. He hadn't consumed any of the wolf but most definitely drank some of its blood while it tore open its massive snout.
The man, whose organs were literally spilling from his bowels, was slowly losing consciousness and probably had at most... five minutes to live, with three of those minutes being an anaphylactic shock. He was also panicking as the boy stood above him, rolling his eyes at the cowering Angel, who stuck her gaze onto the ground.
"Most would be dead by now... you could have had a quicker death if you didn't try and heal yourself," The boy coldly muttered, his expressionless face sending chills down everybody's spine. And as he stepped on both of the man's arms, they went limp. "Now, I'll ask you again, who taught you how to do necromancy? Necromancy isn't just part of the dark temple... it's part of the sub-religion. An evil religion that fucking pisses me off."
"I said kill him. Now."
I gulped down a large drop of saliva and glanced over at the man who could already be named dead. His pitiful look and pitiful expression, which he conveyed through his body, was something that sent chills down my spine. I wanted to cry. I was just a kid. I didn't want to kill anymore. I didn't want to fight anymore.
"I SAID KILL HIM NOW!" Cyrus shouted, and in that split second, my mind went blank. And when I blinked once again, I saw I was sitting on top of the man's torso, a knife piercing straight through his face, cracking his skull, and coming out the other end.
I had done it. I killed the man I was dreading to kill, and the enormous amount of guilt was something overwhelming. So I quickly turned away, covering my mouth with my hand, and gagged once. Through my watery eyes, I saw the terrified remaining children, scared to even move a muscle in the presence of this boy.
"Alright. Let's get going now."
...
Later that evening, when we had left the warehouse, I regained my sense of pride and spoke up for the entire group. I said what everybody else had wanted to say, only to get shut down by the thought of Cyrus going berserk on them.
As I poked the tent of sticks holding up the flame we were circled around, I opened my mouth, only to feel no voice come out. Was it something deep inside of me that prevented me from speaking, or was I injured? But then, with a single confirming glance from Angel, I spoke up to Cyrus, who cooked our next meal: rabbit.
"F-Fish, can we not kill people like that?" I stuttered, unable to even meet his cold gaze. His eyes immediately dug into my head, but there was no malice, just understanding, as he handed Panther a stick with a skewered rabbit on it. In fact, he handed a stick out to everybody, and I was the last to get one as I sat across from him.
Everybody was hesitant to eat, but with a light gesture from Cyrus, we all attempted to dig into our meal. But, just the feeling of biting into flesh sent flashbacks of Cyrus tearing into that wolf to rush through my mind. It hurt. Really, really bad. I couldn't even swallow it as I was forced to spit it out before I puked my guts up.
"You all can't believe people so easily. Partially, it was my fault, but I assume you couldn't tell whether he was lying or not. But if you want an answer, then I'll say this now... He was lying. There are many people out there who will manipulate your feelings to their advantage, as I did with you and how that guy tried to with you all. It worked. Both worked, so realize that not everything you hear or see is the truth. And the only way to see through that is by being ruthless. Only then can you be truly strong..."
