Chapter 116: Final Arc Begins

Guys, it's not over yet; we still have DSOD to go through!

[One year and Nine Months later...]

[3rd POV]

It has been almost two years since the pharaoh parted ways. Everyone's lives soon returned to normal, and their memories of Atem remained forever in their hearts. However, those memories were quickly put aside as they had to face their next challenge: graduation.

With schedules filled with exams, students studied desperately to achieve the marks they wished to achieve. After a gruelling week, they were finally able to relax, as their worst challenge had ended. There was only one week left before they graduated from high school and took their first steps into society.

Bursting out of the classrooms, the students buzzed with excitement, some eager to race home, others off to their favourite clubs, and a few already making plans to hang out with friends.

As he slung his bag over his shoulder, Yugi couldn't help but smile in satisfaction and turned to his best friend, Joey.

"Hey, do you want to go get something to eat?" he said, glancing at Tristan and Bakura. "Do you guys want to come as well?"

After each of the boys agreed, he finally asked Téa behind him: "Téa, do you want to join us?" However, she shook her head.

"Sorry, Yugi, I already have plans." Suddenly, reaching out, Téa grabbed Yuna, who was walking by: "We're going to visit Duke's cafe with Serenity."

"Come on, Yuna. We can't keep Serenity waiting!" Without listening to his reply, Téa excitedly ran out the door, dragging Yuna along with her.

One hour later...

"Happy birthday!" Serenity and Téa cheered, placing two small boxes wrapped nicely on the table. "Sorry if it is a bit small. We couldn't get anything expensive," Téa explained apologetically.

"No, they're perfect. I will treasure them..." Yuna smiled, carefully opening the gifts, which revealed a cute rabbit hairpin and a pink flower bracelet. Putting on the hairpin and bracelet, she smiled, "Thank you, it meant a lot."

"Well, that's what friends do." Serenity smiled back and casually sipped on her drink, "By the way, what did your boyfriend get you?"

"Yes, please tell!" Téa insisted, and Yuna nodded with a faint blush.

She pulled out a small case from her purse and opened it, revealing a stunning necklace adorned with small, glittering blue jewels. The gems sparkled so brilliantly that they seemed almost blinding.

"Woah... How much was that?" Serenity muttered in a daze. "I don't think I could afford it if I worked all my life."

"That's why I'm hesitant to wear it. I'm afraid it might break." She said with an awkward smile.

"What's wrong? You don't seem that excited with the gift." Serenity asked worriedly, and Yuna shook her head.

Sighing wistfully, her smile faded slightly as she explained, "I'm not trying to sound ungrateful. I hope that instead of gifting me something valuable, I merely want to spend a day together. That's all..."@@@@

"Since Seto is the head of Kaiba Corps, I understand that he would be very busy. That's why..." Her voice eventually trailed off before blushing in embarrassment while the two watched on with smiles.

"Don't worry, Yuna. That guy is basically obsessed with you." Téa reassured. "Compared to the dense Yugi..." She sighed and angrily stabbed her fork into the cake.

Serenity and Yuna chuckled awkwardly while Téa continued to rant about her relationship status. Setting her fork down, Yuna smiled: "If you keep trying, he will surely notice you."

"That's easy for you to say..." She pouted: "With you and Kaiba, I don't even know how to describe a relationship like that!"

"What do you mean..." Yuna muttered in confusion.

"I mean, like you guys were lovers in your past lives that were finally united after three thousand years, that's something you hear from a romantic fairy tale!"

Blushing, Yuna quietly fidgeted in her seat. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed that her love life was being described too flatly: "It's not that amazing..."

"She's not wrong, you know?" Serenity commented: "You and Kaiba's relationship is like a fever dream." Unable to refute, Yuna smiled helplessly and sipped her drink while listening to the two lamenting about their lack of romance.

"By the way..." Téa suddenly glanced at Yuna with a mischievous smile: "Have you and Kaiba... done it yet?"

*Pfffffffftt*

Yuna almost spit out her drink at the sudden question, and she stared at Téa in disbelief: "Pardon?"

"You know... Have you two crossed the line?"

Laughing awkwardly, Yuna averted her gaze, and her face reddened with shame just by

imagining it.

"N... No, we haven't done anything like that..."

"Well, why not? If you think about it, you guys were already together in the past. So it's not hard to imagine if you two would take it to the next step."

Sheepishly rubbing her arms, Yuna awkwardly explained, "I never thought about it before..."

"Is that so? Well, I can't really comment on other people's relationships anyway..." Playing with her straw, Téa suddenly spotted a boy in the distance.

The boy has tanned skin, golden eyes, and dark teal hair that spikes outward, which is typically not something you will see in a Japanese city.

"Hey, isn't that the new transfer student?" Téa gestured with her chin: "What was his name

again?"

Aigami's eyes widened in disbelief as Yuna calmly mentioned his real name. With a wave, she left, and Aigami rushed out the door to chase her. However, by the time he's outside, Yuna's

nowhere to be seen...

Next Day...

[Yuna's POV]

Sitting at the back of the classroom, I could feel Aigami's intense gaze from beside me.

Frowning, I couldn't help but feel annoyed that he could at least hide his wariness towards me

instead of blatantly flaunting it in the class. It was to the point that even Téa would ask if he had suddenly fallen in love with me. However, Aigami was the least of my concerns, but Seto...

Although I was hoping that my interference would stop Seto from acting in the original Dark Sides of Dimensions, the event still seems to happen out of my control, and Aigami's appearance only confirms it.

I tried to ignore it, but I could feel that Seto had recently hidden something important from me, and it continued to gnaw at my conscience. The most confusing question was about Seto's motive. Why would he want to bring back Atem? Surely, it's not because of his rivalry.

My heart churned painfully, and I was unable to focus. As soon as school ended, I rushed to Kaiba Corps and demanded to see Seto, hoping that he was at least still there. However, to my disappointment, Roland, Seto's right-hand man, greeted me. Under my intense glare, Roland sweated nervously as he apologised, "I'm very sorry, madam; Master

Kaiba is currently unavailable."

"Where is he?" I questioned, and Roland frantically shook his head.

"I... I'm sorry, I can't tell you that either..."

"Tsk..." I clicked my teeth as my calls were left unanswered. Marching past Roland, I entered

the elevator, and he hurriedly chased after me.

When the elevator reached the top floor, I walked towards the large door guarded by two

hulking security guards. Ignoring them, I pushed open the door and entered Seto's office. As I expected, it was empty, and I moved towards the desk where his computer lay, "Noah, I

know you're here. Answer me." The screen eventually flickered, and the image of a boy with teal hair appeared before my eyes. "Yuna..." He muttered and awkwardly averted my gaze.

"Seto went to the Millennium Stone burial site, didn't he?" I asked rhetorically, and his eyes

widened in shock.

"Wait, how did you..."

"When did he leave?!" I slapped the table in frustration, and he flinched. Realising my

irrational state, I took a deep breath and softened my expression, "Please tell me..."

"He only left a few hours ago..." Noah mumbled, and I sighed with relief.

"It looks like I'm able to catch up. Alright, thank you, Noah." I left the room, quietly passing

the stunned Roland and returning to the ground floor. "Divine Dragon, Lord Felgrand, come out," I quietly muttered as the golden dragon manifested before me. Let's go," I said, climbing onto the dragon's back as it took off into the

sky...

Hours Later...

[3rd POV]

"Seto! We got all of the pieces!" Mokuba shouted as the team began to extract. Placing the Millennium Puzzle fragments into a clear case.

Pulling on the rope, Mokuba and the case began ascending into the helicopter, which was

waiting in the air. Nodding, Seto deactivated the Duel Disk and glared at Aigami in the distance. "This is goodbye," he said before retreating as well.

Aigami cursed and used his Quantum Cube to teleport in front of Mokuba. Grabbing along the

rope, the two struggled desperately and tried to knock each other off and grab hold of the Millennium Puzzle.

Unfortunately for Mokuba, Aigami was much stronger, and he pushed him away. Screaming, Mokuba lost his grip and began falling down the sky.

"Mokuba!" Seto screamed and rushed towards his brother, trying to save him at all costs.

However, before the boy hits the floor, a large figure swoops past, catching the boy in midair. Nervously opening his eyes, he found himself in someone's arms.

"Are you okay?"

"Big Sister?" Mokuba opened his eyes wide with surprise, and he frantically clung to her in

relief.

"Stay still," Yuna instructed as she directed Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand to turn. Roaring, the

dragon dived towards Aigami, still holding the rope, and the dragon sliced the rope with its sharp claws.

"Tsk!" Aigami teleported away to safety, and Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand grabbed the box in midair.

Glaring into his eyes, Yuna huffed before turning away and glanced at Seto, who was equally surprised to see her. Without wasting any more time, Seto swiftly climbed onto his Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet, and the aircraft took off, chasing after her...
