Chapter 311: Memories
Chapter 311: Memories
With his transformation complete, Akun let out a colossal roar from his dragon maw. The sheer boom created from his small display of celebration echoed through the entire godforsaken forest, alerting all of its inhabitants of his existence.
The sheer power behind his roar caused Kaldarix and Mellin to stumble backwards, their feet leaving trails in the sandy desert terrain.
"Amazing, truly breathtaking," Kaldarix mumbled as he gazed at Akun’s dragon form. He was both imposing and majestic, and he had let go of the paper bag containing their snacks in sheer awe.
"That’s our master for you," Mellin said with a hint of pride as she gazed at Akun, placing her hands on her hips and acting smug. One would almost think she was the one who had achieved a great feat.
Meanwhile, back at the bustling ant city capital, amidst the vibrant festivities, Leandor couldn’t help but mumble as he noticed the collosal roar, Knowing the aura emenating from it belonged to none other than his liege.
"By the stars," Leandor mumbled to himself, "his power grows with each passing day."
Leandor’s wife gently called out to him, breaking his reverie as he stared into the shifting clouds above.
"Leandor, dear," she said, her voice warm and melodious, "why do you stare so intently at the sky? The festival is here, and there’s joy all around us. We have already pledged our alligence to our liege, so we should be happy he has grown stronger."
With a sheepish grin, Leandor turned to her, apologizing for his distraction, before suggesting they continue immersing themselves in the joyous celebration.
"You’re right, my love," he said, his eyes brightening. "Let’s enjoy every moment of this beautiful night together."
As laughter and music filled the air, Dryad Elder Aelorin, swaying gracefully amidst the revelry, couldn’t help but murmur to herself about the awakening of their liege’s dragon bloodline.
Akun then closed the system window as he mused, "Well, since I’ve succeeded, I should guide Kaldarix and Mellin,"
As Akun turned his massive dragon head towards Kaldarix and Mellin, his sights landed on some sort of aura around their bodies, the way it crackled around them as if it was trying to fully cover their bodies but would simply fail to do so.
"That must be their dragon aura," Akun mused to himself, "so that is what it looked like when Genreia had a look at me. It’s really erratic, just like she said."
As Kaldarix and Mellin locked eyes with their father, their pupils shrank slightly as they felt a slight crackle in their cores. A sudden wave of memories flooded their minds, of a era now long gone. Flashes of a man with black hair dressed like royalty, who was quite a troublemaker.
He would deliberately do things that would cause grand meetings to be held all because he wanted attention. He was quite prideful but had a strangely caring side; they remembered he once took care of a bee and taught it strange alchemy. The flood of memories ended with what they believed to be a dragonic form identical the the one they saw before them.
The sudden burst of information caused both of their legs to give out, and they fell to the sands with a soft thud.
"Aghhhhh!" Kaldarix screamed as he held his chest, his core glowing brightly, along with his purple eyes. He panted as he mumbled, "W-what is this," his pupils shaking.

"Ugaaaa!" Mellin screamed as she grabbed her face with one hand, her glowing blue eyes visible between her fingers. She panted heavily, her core glowing brightly.
Akun’s eyes landed on Kaldarix and Mellin as they screamed in pain while kneeling on the desert sands. "What’s wrong with both of you!?" he yelled, worry and confusion evident in his tone. He immediately transformed into his dragonic human form, his horns protruding from his skull, some scales present around his jawline, and a miniature version of his tail behind him.
Dressed regally in his black and purple robes, as soon as his feet landed on the desert sands, he leaped forward with massive amounts of force that instantly cleared all the sand in where he stood. A massive dust cloud billowed into the air as his figure blurred while he made his way towards them, worry evident in his gaze.
